Gotta give the guy credit going for it on 4th downs, but man that timeout after Witten's catch near the end of the 1st half was a huge mistake. You just gotta know on a generous spot like that you get the next play off quickly. No need whatsoever for that timeout in that situation. Instead of 3 or 7 pts we give the ball back and GB goes and gets 3 pts. As soon as he called that timeout I knew that would come back to haunt us. We were in the driver seat and that timeout changed the whole game.

wow, arm chair quarterbacks are all on the loose. there wasn't a lot of time left on the clock you want to score and score TDs. the correct call was to call a time out. every time. EVERYTIME. and the ref's did say first down. so he made the right move, based on all the facts not based on they will do a booth review and the call maybe over turned....jeez people.

that time out didn't change the whole game. there is another half to play. not making tackles changed the game. fumbling gthe ball changed the game. not making crucial 3rd down stops on 3rd and 15 changed the game. get a hold of yourself.

Garrett is year by year at this point. Well most NFL coaches are so its not a new concept. Relatively pleased with this season and greatly exceeded my expactations so I'm not against him staying.

Garrett made the right call from where he was there was no way to know how bad the spot was. He has to call it immediately

Losing the time out is probably why they didn't run the ball.

I think they should have gotten the time out back.. I don't know the rule, but it definitely changes your decision and the rule should be changed. You can change the result of the play, but you can't then change the decision to use a timeout or not? Bad rule

He is an absolute clown. Garrett is by no coincidence always on the wrong end of situational football. Today almost made me sorry the Cowboys went 12-4 because we're stuck with losing this way another 5 or so years.

No he's not. If he signs a 5 year extension, Jerry Jones isn't just going to eat that money to fire him.

the 4th and 2 on our last drive was a stupid call. There is too much that can go wrong on that. It is not like it was 4th and 12 or something.

I liked going for it but there are many other favorable plays to call there when only needing 2 lousy yards. That was a do or die play and we died whether it was a catch or not. They needed a new set of downs, not going for it all IMO.

This I agree with
Not sure how you can bet the whole game on a very very iffy play

4-2 go get the first down

I'm just thankful that the OP and most of the guys in this thread are not in charge. Sign him to 5 minimum and I would be happy with 10.

I don't think he is a clown, but that timeout was a mistake. Its those little things that can make all the difference.

A case could be made for that no doubt.

I am not a Garrett guy and blame him for the last three years of futility but this loss is not on him. Are there a few things he could have done better? Sure but that can be said of most any coach after a tough loss. The officials bad call cost us this one, not to say GB couldn't of come back and scored again since they had our defense on the ropes but the officials took that away by COMPLETELY blowing a call.

Nope, he should've known the play was going to get a booth review likely.............get up an get a play off if possible, if not make them review it from the booth and before GBay could get their heavies in on short yardage.......

Absolutely

if he is a clown. then you are a moron. no other way to put it. buy yourself a football for really really dummies book and learn a few things before posting anything idiotic. you are coming across and already vying for moron of the year award.
