How good would New England be if they played in the NFC?

I just think these guys have a cake walk to a 1st rd bye every year playing in the weak AFC East. Miami,Buffalo and the Jets have to be the easiest division in all of Football. Let's just say the Patriots being a North East team had to play in the NFC East, How would they do?

I'll tell you this, There would be no way in hell they would've went to 6 Superbowls like they have. NFC is just a different kind of Football especially come playoff time. The only competition the Patriots have had over the years have been the Colts,Ravens and the Jets for a few years.

If they played in the NFC It would be a nightmare for Belichek and Brady.

Crazy how the Patriots went 4-2 in their division last year and had a first round bye, while we went 5-1 in the division and watched the playoffs from home. They've only lost to two NFC opponents the last two years so I reckon they'd still be pretty good.

AFC has had it share of strong teams over the course of the Pats run. No way we can really says what they would have or would not have done in NFC. looking at their record vs NFC they have more than held their own.

probably the same. the Pats are good. folks can hate them and all that, but in the end, they have a good team. Baltimore won a SB, Pittsburgh won 2, so it's not like the AFC has been as bad as it was in the 80's/90's.

Why do people always look for reasons to knock the best teams in the NFL?

It's unnecessary. They are a Damn good team. A historically good team...one of the greatest dynasties this league has ever seen

You guys do know there was a time when the afc was the stacked conference, and it wasn't that long ago...and the NE Patriots were still the NE Patriots....

Can't stand Brady, dislike the team but won't take any thing away from them. They are a well oiled machine built with some spare parts.

They'd get exposed for sure. AFC is too easy...only 4 different QBs have started in the Super Bowl for the AFC over the last 10 years (Peyton, Brady, Big Ben, Flacco). Compare that to 8 different QBs in 10 years for the NFC

Couglin always seems to have their number so maybe a couple of less appearances in the bowl. Hard to say for sure though, that division has rolled over and let their belly be scratched for years.

That made me chuckle. I don't even know why.

How quickly people forget how horrible the NFC was very recently.

Not as good. To be honest half their Super Bowl wins were due to the other teams incompetence. Philly really should have won their Super Bowl too but f'ed it up like the Chickens.

Are you overlooking the fact that they just beat the NFC Champ? All I hear is sour grapes from your post.

If they were in the NFC East they would have dominated the division just like they did the AFC East
