Looks to me like they would probably do OK.

Beating them once is not beating them multiple times or playing in a division with them.

we all know that is FARRRR different.
Ok, so they split with, say, GB and Seattle in some weird new division. They'd still stomp out everyone else and be a bye week team. They woudln't sneak in as the #5 or 6.

They haven't had a losing season since 2000 and haven't had less than 10 wins since 2002. Let that sink in for a minute before making another absurd thread.

Not the biggest Patriots fan - no shock there - but I'd have to say they'd do just fine in the NFC. They have a great system, a constant greatness in HC and QB for 15 yr, and an organization that drafts well and develops talent better than most clubs. Like them or not, they have been a great dynasty.

I don't think they are as good as the 90s Cowboys teams, the 84 or 89 49ers, 85 Bears or 78 Steelers, but NE is a great organization and perennial winner.

Why do people always look for reasons to knock the best teams in the NFL?

It's unnecessary. They are a Damn good team. A historically good team...one of the greatest dynasties this league has ever seen

So the Jets and Dolphins can give them fits, but they'd just have an easy time over in the nfc? #thatdoesntevenmakesense

I just think these guys have a cake walk to a 1st rd bye every year playing in the weak AFC East. Miami,Buffalo and the Jets have to be the easiest division in all of Football. Let's just say the Patriots being a North East team had to play in the NFC East, How would they do?

I'll tell you this, There would be no way in hell they would've went to 6 Superbowls like they have. NFC is just a different kind of Football especially come playoff time. The only competition the Patriots have had over the years have been the Colts,Ravens and the Jets for a few years.

If they played in the NFC It would be a nightmare for Belichek and Brady.

The irony.

In the 70's this argument was used against the Cowboys

Some pretty funny posts in this thread.....especially when you look at how far the NFC East has fallen. 9-7 made the playoffs last year. Atlanta was an embarrassment to the entire NFL in the playoffs. Do you think those crummy records are because the NFC teams are so good?
