UFC 184

lol wow. rousey wins in 14 seconds. fast win ever in ufc history. Nobody is going to beat her
 
Disappointing by Zingano.

I think Zingano is the more well rounded fighter, and would win a rematch if she didn't resort to bum rushing like that.

She eats a knee.... gets tossed... recovers but just so happens to land with Zingano's arm in her lap waiting. Ya..not impressed still.

Nothing against Ronda, she is very good but I think Zingano is the exact type of fighter that beats her.
 
Fights shouldve been free. glad I didnt buy them. Not really a fan of rousey but she is damn good.
 
The biggest problem I have with Ronda's opposition is that no matter what, her opponents INSIST on bullrushing her.

Bullrushing a high level Judo competitor is asking to be tossed around. It makes no sense. Almost like crawling into the guard of a Gracie.

It baffles me that 3 out of 4 opponents decide to charge a high level Judo fighter =/

I think you're crazy. Rousey is so much more advanced than Zingano it's not even worth talking about it. You're starting to sound like a Rousey hater.

BTW, she didn't get tossed. She countered the toss in mid air and positioned herself on top. She's that damn good. I told you this fight wouldn't be competitive.

Just as Rousey talked about after the fight, this is the first time anyone bull rushed her. Anyone who wants to check her fights will see.

There isn't a way to attack a much superior fighter. It always ends the same. Zingano would get destroyed 10 out of 10 times no matter what her strategy is.

I'm not even that much of a Rousey fan, but I can admit when someone is just on a different level than the rest. Zingano didn't deserve to be in the Octagon with her. The problem is, nobody else in the division does either. She's a freak of nature.
 
Ronda single-handedly brought women into the UFC. She brought so much attention to women's MMA. Every female fighter owes her a debt of gratitude for it but we've reached a point where the same dominance that wow'ed Dana and gave them all this opportunity is now hurting her division. It's not competitive. There is nobody on the roster that can threaten her. She makes them all look like first time amateurs.

The only fight worth making is Cyborg. But I'm not sure the juice head can ever make that weight.

Yep, about the fight I figured would happen. Ronda is just, wow. She says she could take Mayweather out by just getting him off his feet. I believe her.

Rousey said not long ago its because of Carano that she has a place in the UFC. Next up Cyborg and then she can start tapping blokes.

What I am saying is that you cannot expect to charge a Judo practitioner who specializes in using your momentum against you, and expect to have any success.

Well within the first minute of the fight it was the first time she has been charged, but to play into Ronda's game just makes it easier for her. It is the equivalent of crawling into the guard of a Gracie, it shouldn't happen. In both of Miesha's fights against Ronda, whenever she had some success on the fight she attempted a sloppy run at Ronda takedown resulting in getting hip tossed each time. I would think that fighters gameplanning for a fight with Ronda, would avoid giving her the hip toss on a silver platter. They all know her Judo background, but they still insist on doing it.

Ronda's weakness is in the standup game and when she gets overly aggressive, where she gets tagged. Liz Carmouche should of ended her with RNC in that fight due to her recklessness.

I still believe Zingano can beat Rousey as long as she remains disciplined.

I admit that I don't like Rousey, no shame in that. She is a great athlete in a VERY shallow division. The reason the division is so shallow is because WMMA is still very young, and hasn't had time to develop talent globally yet. When you put Olympic level talent in the cage with women who refuse to fight intelligently, we will continue to see sub ~1 minute finishes.

No, really. I grew up an athlete. I find women like her absolutely gorgeous. She has just enough muscle, and a pretty face to boot. I love ladies like Alex Morgan (soccer), and Wozniaki (tennis). Just hot!
