I doubt Hughes is much cheaper than Hardy and personally I have questions about how good he would be away from the rest of the monster DL he was on. If thats true, the not playing in the deep end stuff is being overblown and they are at least entertaining the idea of signing a tier 1 FA.

Most important bit of information in the entire thread. Hardy HAS to be on a short list of top tier guys they want to speak to, I would hope.

That sounds like a deal I could easily see Hardy taking, or at least pretty close. Many here don't even think is a possibility due to the cap and statements made by Jerry and Stephen, but I think if Hughes is an option finacially, Hardy would be as well. This is not getting into the moral aspect people want to debate about, just financial.

Better bring some reading material and come to think of it, bring your sleeping bag
