Computer Help Needed

I have a question for anyone who can help me. I'm trying to post/attach a resume to an online job application, but I don't know how to get the resume I already have from my email files over to my computer, so I can attach it to the job app. I have looked on my computer and don't see any program like Notepad or anything that I could retype my resume into. We have Windows 7, and it is not as easy to dig into as XP was. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks.

Crud. I really want to help you man... I believe you can still get into an "Explorer" mode in Windows 7... I'm going to look into this.
What kind of file type is your resume on?

And you say they are on emails- did you save them onto a HDD?

Windows 7 has notepad if that's all you are looking for. Just press the windows key and type the word notepad, it will find the program for you.

It's not on a file. A few companies wanted me to email them my resume, so I just composed the resume into an email and sent it out. This company is online, not through email, and wants a resume attached with the application. Can't find any kind of program on the computer to compose my resume in, so that I can attach it.

Wow. Thanks alot, JD. It came right up. Can't believe you can't just browse for it in the Start Menu under all programs, like on XP. Really appreciate it. I know it seems so simple, lol, but if you are not a very computer savvy person, the simplest thing can be a major hurdle.

You can browse, but it shows a list of 'favorite' programs first - at the bottom you'll find 'all programs' and that will let you browse as you would on xp.

Yeah, you know, now it shows up on my start menu. I'm thinking maybe because I never used it before is why it didn't show up before. Works like a charm now. Thanks again, man.

You could download open office. It is an open source version of word.
