KISS Shreds

Where was the entertainment value in that? Kiss rocks and that was just blasphemy.

When I was 14-16 years old I was a huge KISS fan and would often call local rock stations asking them to play Calling Dr Love or w/e and more often than not was laughed at and hung up on by the DJ. The stations back then just didn't consider them in the same league as like say Zeppelin, etc.
I do give KISS credit though, they had a formula as simplistic as it was and it paid off for them big time.

I guess others have not seen the "shred" videos and don't get it.

Jake E Lee has seen this one and says it cracks him up...

Lick It Up was my favorite Kiss song.

KISS has a ton of great songs. Another song that I think is highly underrated is Heaven's on Fire. I never hear people talk about that song, but it's always in my play list. Of course, Lick It Up is too.

Was *just* listening to both of those yesterday. Weird.

Was in a drive through with my teenager a week or two back and 'I Was Made For Loving You' came on, to which he rightly asked 'what the hell is this garbage?' I had to go find Detroit Rock City and God of Thunder to try to explain to him what the deal is with those beautiful idiots. It was harder to explain than you might think.

That is just wrong. Kiss is one of my favorites bands of all times. I wore out my Kiss Alive and Kiss Alive 2 records and tapes when I was younger. Their concerts are amazing too.

You had the cassette tape? Damnit, my KISS Alive 2 was an 8-track!

lol, what is that a bass? Sharon "IDIOT" Osbourne should have never fired Jake E. Lee. Ozzy couldn't have gotten a better guitarist after Randy's passing than Lee for Ozzy's style. After Lee's firing, Ozzy never had an album that was great all the way through. Hell, most of his crap sucks with an occasional great song.

Ozzy + Jake E. Lee was a match made in heaven. I absolutely love The Ultimate Sin album.

I never really got into Badlands which was a real shame since Lee is so damn talented.

Before anyone says anything, yes I like Zakk Wylde, but I find him lazy in that he doesn't expand his musical knowledge to add more depth to his playing. (I'm guilty of the same thing, but then again. I don't consider myself a musician)
