For the MASON & IRELAND show (Los Angeles Lakers radio station). John Ireland is the Lakers radio play by play man. This is an afternoon show with other topics besides the Lakers, etc.

Mason and Ireland [hr 2]: 8/5/15
Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo joins Steve & John and talks about training camp and the upcoming season.

Romo must have been making the rounds yesterday, he called into the afternoon show on WFAN in NY also.

We had to see what we had at back up QB.

I think Mariucci comments were dead on, you get older players who have been to many camps it is wise to give them some time off or as they called it Vet days. It does give the younger guys a chance to get more reps but it also helps keep guys like Romo and Witten fresh

Keep em fresh but need to see those backup QB's too.

I saw too much of Weeden and too little of Vaughan. I had hoped to see Vaughan take more snaps while seeing Weeden waving at the crowd and posing for selfies. I got neither. :(

Let me tell you Vaughen isn't getting more snaps for a reason. He simply can't play . He's worse than Chad Hutchinson .

That's a particularly harsh observation. I won't debate your conclusion because it could very well be true but I'll reserve some judgment about the matter for the time being.
