OXNARD, Calif. — Running back Lance Dunbar has a sprained ankle. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said during his Thursday press conference that he didn’t know the results of an MRI Dunbar recently had.

“We’ll just wait and see what that MRI says,” Garrett said. “We don’t anticipate it being bad, but we want to make sure that we have all of the information.”

Can we go out and get an established running back now?

Hershel Walker wants a try out?

I think Randle is going to be the starter regardless anyway.
They also said they will be looking for a rb after final cuts, I think they want a younger cheap player.
Someone will be forced to cut or put on PS a decent rb. The probably have picked a few already, so if they are cut they will grab them.
If they wanted a name back like cj or sj they would already have them. Those guys cost more they want a cheaper player maybe 2.

If not now, when? Once Randle gets hurt from being overworked?

What? You are asking questions that can't be answered. lol

Stop trying to project into the future...it can't be done.

the only Rb who is not injury prone on our roster is Joseph randle,if he stays healthy then he could get 1500 yards easily.

They say that he does not hesitate when hitting the hole, he is gone breaking legs on LB's.

But McFadden is just getting ready to return!

Seriously, what is the panic? Season opener is still over 5 weeks away. Clearly the Cowboys still feel comfortable about our RB corp.

The panic is that we can't even depend on McFadden when nobody's chasing him! This isn't the first time it's happened. Heck, it's not the first time it's happened in the past 4 months!

You have a hopeful starter in Randle who you're still not sure about, backed up by two guys you can't count on. How much more of a sign do people need?

I don't know, I didn't have to use my magic 8-ball to know that McFragile would get hurt!

Again!

Been hearing the same story for many months now. I still don't see the Cowboys making any moves. We might eventually, but it won't surprise me if it's still 2-3 weeks from now if we make any move at all.

Do I need to make one of these for Dunbar's ankle?

Our wonderful RBBC sure is dropping harder than flies on some nice weekend backyard bbq..............

Is is the one where McFragile is hurt and not on the field? If so, that's the same one I've been hearing too.

And frankly, I'm tired of that one.

You can't say for sure that would happen. Murray got way more carries than Randle will ever see and he didn't get hurt

Yeah, but Murray at least had some backup like Randle who could take a few carries. Now, Randle doesn't have anyone behind him.

The panic is that of the three proven unreliable back we have on this roster, two are doing exactly what they have historically done.

Get hurt.

A player is worthless if they are not available. I do not care how awesome they are when they actually play.

Clearly the Cowboys still feel comfortable about our RB corp.

They felt comfortable about our OL several years ago with trash like Livings, Costa and Bernadeau starting.

What can I say besides repeat myself - I don't see the Cowboys signing any more RB's so they must not think there is a high sense of urgency in this matter. Wether it is right or wrong or if I agree or disagree doesn't matter. But I refuse to believe that the Cowboys brass thinks we have a shot at winning the super bowl this season and are willing to let Murray walk out of here and just leave the successful running game we had last year to chance.
