Cowboys concerned about Levi Stadium turf

Looks like the starters are only gonna play in Preseason Week 3 this year.

I would be extatic if they cancelled this game and we only had to play three preseason games. We would still get the dress rehearsal in next week and sit everyone till week 1

That's absolutely embarassing. The 9ers organization should be ashamed. Seriously.

If there's any indication that this field isn't safe for playing come Sunday, then our Cowboys shouldn't be playing on it. It's just not worth it.

What a colossal waste of taxpayers money. The stadium is an absolute joke, not just because of the turf either.

Garrett said that he’s “confident that the league will make sure that field is safe for everybody” or the team won’t play the game.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a team has backed out of a preseason contest because of concerns about the playing surface. The Ravens had a game with the Eagles called off in 2001 because the notorious turf at Veterans Stadium was deemed unplayable.

Wow...

Isn't it beat above sea level? I've heard they've been having a ton of problems with the field. Candlestick was like that but it was because it was below sea level

The head coach bolted. The roster's disintegrating. The stadium is crap. The Yorks should've never made that deal with Satan. It's collection time.

Of course, Jerry Jones wrote his own contract. How was Satan to know he couldn't read Jerryese?

Not fun to watch day games in Levi either. Almost every seat lacks shade plus parking distance adds to non enjoyment. Add the outrageous ticket prices, just not worth it.

If there is a stadium that should have been required to lay artificial turf, this should be the one. It is a big joke and making your high paid athletes risk injury by coming in to play on this turf is absurd and dangerous.

Interesting to see come SB time if this becomes a big issue; but it certainly will be in the spotlight.

This is where I loved Brian Billick. Years ago when he just flat out refused to have his team play on the Veteran's Stadium turf in preseason because it was so bad. If I was Garrett, I would do the same thing as well. How can an NFL team which makes gazillions of dollars have turf so bad?

It's amazing it cost $1 billion. It looks like just any old football stadium.

Who would have thought that a "state of the art" stadium like the Field of Jeans would have worse turf than the biggest dump in the NFL, Candlestick "Don't Call Me Monster" Park?
