Saturday Night Preseason Thread

Chip is probably going to run it up in preseason whenever he can so people forget who he released and why. He's probably in season " game planned" every one to ensure that outcome

He is going to get the hype going quick!!!! Hope he fizzles out about mid season just:yourock: as quick !!!!

That's right. We have to run the ball run the ball and run the ball some more to keep it away from their offense.

On defense we have to pressure up the middle because their tackles are as good as any in the league as is their center, so we take advantage of the less experienced guards and run stunts constantly.

Bradford has a quicker release and is more accurate than Nick Foles. He needs to be pressured or it could be a long day.

Their backs are studs, of course we all know Murray, and Matthews is a beast when he is healthy. Can't let them guys get started.

There receivers are young and talented. The operative word is young. We need to stick them at the line, and frustrate them. They got talent, but not experience.

We'll split with them this year. It should be a fun game.

Well dont count on it, I think Dallas will pass more than last year, and dallas is going to end rush not up the middle.

Basic defenses, basic packages, half of your starters for 31 teams in the NFL in preseason.

vs.

Chip's finesse up tempo offense in preseason.

His system will of course be the pre-season championship team. It is preseason and there is 0 gameplanning going on for their offense.

Calm down people. Sheesh.

Exactly, no smart team is going to match Chip's speed during a damn preseason game.

Bradford has completed 3 passes as an Eagle.

Who cares what some backup qb's do against defenses that aren't preparing for their scheme? Only one guy is starting on week one and he's done very little. And Sanchez has actually played worse this preseason than he did in the last preseason. Team numbers are meaningless in pre-season games. If anything, you look at where a team has question marks (for Philly, qb is question numero uno), and then look at how the potential starters are performing. Everything else is tripe.

Chip's offense will not be finesse in 2015. They will be a power rushing team.

His system isn't changing. His offense is a finesse system. Plugging Murray into their offense doesn't change a lick of what Chip does.

Agreed. They still do the same things they did the previous two seasons. They'll run a bit more. But they will be a fast up tempo team that will hurry up to the LOS after a run or completed pass.

I don't think there's anything magical about what Chip Kelly does. His team runs plays just like every other offense in the NFL. They just do it really fast, which to me is more of a detriment to them than to any opponent who executes better than they do. Philly has to score points when it has the ball and stop the other guys from doing likewise, just like anyone else. Playing up-tempo does make the Eagles especially vulnerable when they don't move the ball or play good defense, without a doubt, but not many teams win by stalling on offense while their opponents go on long drives and score. I think the quality of Philadelphia's QB and o-line play will have a lot more to do with the team's success than the rapidity with which they run offensive plays.

Just my $0.02.
