My daughter was walking my pup and he got into a bark-fight... He put his legs under the fence then raised up and broke his leg...

Bad night... we had to amputate...

Send love to Mikey...

I'm so sorry to hear it, Trick. It must have been an awful break. This is always tough news. I am just glad Mikey survived the incident. My thoughts and prayers to Mikey, to you, and to your family.:(

ETA: And also, Trick, to a healthy and successful recovery for your baby. I hope that he can go on to be just as happy as he was before. And that in no time, (joke coming to ease the pain), he will be able to do this:

Oh man, Trick! His front leg????? OMG. Trick, I feel so bad for this baby. The only thing I can say is I am very sorry again for him and for yall. But, I am very happy for him, that yall were able to save his life. It is obvious how much you love him. I am very glad for that. :)

He will adjust. Dogs are....pretty close to invincible. lol. They are very resilient, and could be considered superheros, if you think about it. He is still very much beautiful. Poor baby. God bless him. I imagine when he is ready to eat again, he will be getting lots of Love Treats. Hugs for your baby. Please keep us updated on his condition and progress in adjusting in learning how to walk again, and play again.

He will be fine before you know it, Trick. He will.:starspin:

I don't want to bogart the thread, but this picture really makes me want to cry. This poor baby. I wish I could give him a hug!! I am just so terribly sorry that this happened at all.:(

Poor thing, now you get to spoil him even more!

It is a bad feeling seeing your pet in pain, been there myself :(

Yep prayers inbound to Mikey.
Dogs have an amazing amazing ability to persevere even in the face of adversity. Here's hoping to his quick recovery. He looks like a character btw.

Very sorry to hear that, trick! :(

Thanks all... he's getting around OK. He enjoys sitting in my lap while we watch the Cowboy game. Today will be a good day for him...

Sorry to hear that..... Pup will adjust to his new lifestyle... hope he's around for many more years to bring your family joy...

Very sorry to hear that Trick. Keep your chin up and give him all the love he deserves. That's really all he cares about.

Sorry to hear about your dog. My dog tore some ligaments in one of her legs a couple of years ago. She recovered after an expensive surgery, but she hasn't been the same since. My wife was going nuts during her healing process and the wife still babies the dog too much IMO. I can't imagine what you're going through with your dog losing its leg at such a young age, but being a puppy it gives your dog time to adjust I guess.

Sorry to hear this Tricky. I do like Dogs more then people an awful lot of the time. LOL.....

That's crazy. I would have never guessed they'd have to amputate. I would have thought a cast and send him on his way. I'm a dog lover and sorry to hear about it. That said, I see tripods running around all over the place like nothing even happened to them. Animals are so much tougher than people, almost embarrassingly so.

How's Mikey doing, Trick?? Sure hope he is doing okay pain wise, and coping wise. Any updates you can give us??
