the Safety, swing tackle and RB positions. I fully expect to see the RB depth addressed over the next days or week but not sure how much they can address the safety and swing tackle positions. All and all I give the personnel people an A for getting the team ready personnel wise for the upcoming season. There's only so much you can do with the salary cap, free agent, draft and trade processes and try to maintain your team competitively for the years ahead. Well done Cowboys.

We should've taken Leveon bell instead of Gavin Escobar like I wanted them to (;

I agree but you left one out--backup QB !!!!

Stacked would mean depth? If so, add QB, FB, DT to that list. But other than those 6 positions, Dallas is stacked...

I think we are fine at S, as we have options there. Jones, White can play, even Carr has played some S before. Heath and McCray are there for ST's, not S.
yes, ST we need, Weems is not the guy.

Can we see what our RB's can do first. Throw out the "healthy" BS. We were is the same situation last year. Can Murray stay healthy, Randle and Dunbar were question marks then too.
Being smaller at RB more than everyone wants to be, does not mean injuries all the time. Bigger RB's get injured too.
We did not know the OL was going to become one of the best, if not the best OL in the NFL. we knew they could be good, but not that good.
AND just about everyone had the pass happy duo of Garrett / Linehan as passing 80% of the time. guess that didn't happen.

You forgot WR. Everyone is forgetting WR.
The starting lineup is good if not great, but what's beyond that?

No team is stacked at QB. A decent backup, yes, but few teams have that. Though I wouldn't mind a decent 3rd QB either.
Same for FB, how many teams have a back up FB. Could we be better, yes, but can't do it all in one year. Clutts has been decent. I am ok with him.
We have some decent guys at DT, but just not great. after Crawford, a top line DT remains to be seen. Maybe one emerges this year. OR they all play better because we will have a pass rush. Maybe Coleman emerges as that guy.

Hmmm...I respectfully disagree with the OP.

I see depth at DL, tight end, and before Scandrick went down...not the FO fault...at CB. Aside from RB and safety, the starters look good and execs get props for that, but we are well below average in those positions.

It's a good roster. Not a great roster.

Back up QB. Romo goes down for any length of time and you find most of us over on the draft board.

I think we are fine at WR.
Dez & TWill as 1 & 2, Beasley in the slot, no one can argue against those 3 [except the TWill body catcher group] [which Michael Irvin says he is fine with] and Street. People will put down Street, as they need to have someone to complain about. But he will be fine.
Whitehead looked to prove he deserves a chance from that last preseason game. But still people will try to cut him now. If someone comes along, that could happen. But I think they would find a way to keep 6 WR's before they releases him.

RB is what's keeping my excitement for this season at a minimum. I just don't believe these backs are capable of maintaining the balance of last year. The Cowboys were built to win in the postseason. They could wear you down in the run game. I'll believe it when I see it this year with this group.

Add FB to that list? You really just suggested that we don't have "depth" at FB.

Ha! That would be the most colossal waste of roster space ever.

Read my post. I was joking. Who makes a list saying we are stacked except this this and this position. In reality, Dallas has no depth at QB(Just a really good QB), really not a good FB, and other than Crawford, nothing at DT. No KR/PR either. You could say, CB as well. I think the original post is ridiculous.

Really, 2 positions are stacked: OL and DE.

Do what? We have arguably the best receiver corps in the NFL. Certainly top 5.

If Dez Bryant misses time for any reason, said receiver corps becomes arguably the worst in the NFL. Certainly bottom 5.
