Cowboys are stacked except for safety, swing tackle, and RB

If Dez Bryant misses time for any reason, said receiver corps becomes arguably the worst in the NFL. Certainly bottom 5.
Hardly. But that isn't even the comparison that is necessary to make the statement. You'd have to compare losing our #1 with every other team losing their #1. In which case, I'd still like our receiving corps.

We're stacked at RB now

Add Tebow, and it fills back up spots for both QB and RB.

Sign Derek Sherrod for swing tackle and trade 5th for Eric Weddle and team can start ordering the champagne for postseason. :D

the Safety, swing tackle and RB positions. I fully expect to see the RB depth addressed over the next days or week but not sure how much they can address the safety and swing tackle positions. All and all I give the personnel people an A for getting the team ready personnel wise for the upcoming season. There's only so much you can do with the salary cap, free agent, draft and trade processes and try to maintain your team competitively for the years ahead. Well done Cowboys.

None of those positions have ever stopped a team from winning a championship, either.

i would like to see Jones or White eventually take over for Wilcox. He should be a ST player. Too may mental errors. When a player is still makng the same mistakles he was making as a rookie its a lost cause. The team really blew the evaluation on this guy. They drafted a faster dumber version of Barry Church

RB is what's keeping my excitement for this season at a minimum. I just don't believe these backs are capable of maintaining the balance of last year. The Cowboys were built to win in the postseason. They could wear you down in the run game. I'll believe it when I see it this year with this group.

If we arent good because of 1 position on the team, especially a RB, then we have big problems with coaching.

Every team in this league, especially this year, has holes all over their roster.

Of course, but should that be a reason to not ATTEMPT to shore up those areas?? Not getting your counter point.

Read my post. I was joking. Who makes a list saying we are stacked except this this and this position. In reality, Dallas has no depth at QB(Just a really good QB), really not a good FB, and other than Crawford, nothing at DT. No KR/PR either. You could say, CB as well. I think the original post is ridiculous.

Really, 2 positions are stacked: OL and DE.

Sorry I didn't pick up on the sarcasm...my bad.

Either Jones or White would be the top backup Safety now.

Still would be better than what we had in 95 w/o Irvin. Even w/ Irvin that has to the worst receiving corp to ever win a SB.

i had really hoped pancakes would be in this thread, BIG SIGH

I remember at this time last year, when I was the ONLY ONE who was excited about the pieces the Cowboys were about to unleash on the league! I was down right giddy about it!

This year, I'm nervous as hell. I could really see this thing going either way. I think it mostly depends on if our DLine can stop the run and get after the QB(and continue to create TO).

If so, than they'll win 11 or 12! If not, 8-8 is a possibility vs. this schedule. The Cowboys have the toughest schedule in the league.

Vs teams that can win SB 50: Seahawks, Patriots, Packers

Vs teams that could/should rebound and be double digit winners: Panthers, Saints, Falcons

Vs teams with stud Dline which gave the Cowboys OL trouble in 2014(Det, Cards, Eagles):mad:Bills, @Dolphins, @Bucs(yes, bucs. McCoy can ball)

No freebies on that list! I don't see no Rams, Jax, or Titans, or what the Bears ended up being.

I can see this going either way.. and I'm nervous as hell!

8-8 would entail mass terminations.
