The only ones who puts a spin on how I feel about Romo are you and the rest of the agenda crowd and that was proven in your call out thread. Despite a link to over a dozen of my posts from more than 2 1/2 years ago shooting down all this Romo hate that you and a few others throw at me you continue making the claims. I mentioned that polls have been started asking to rank the Cowboys QB's with some ranking Romo ahead of Staubach and Aikman and guess what you were one of them. And you claim I've been wrong about Romo? LOL

I sure did rank Romo ahead of them both. And guess what? They both have said that Romo is better than they were.

What are they suppose to say? Both Aikman and Staubach are very humble they certainly aren't going to say they were better than Romo but they were better and everyone but a few FANS like you who put stats above everything else knows they were better. Ask Romo who was better and he'll tell you both Staubach and Aikman were better. There's things that Romo does that are better than both and they had things they did that were better than Romo but QB's are ultimately judged by how far they lead their team and Romo has never led the Cowboys past the second round of the playoffs. He doesn't have near the playoff record that Staubach and Aikman had. His regular season numbers are much better than Staubach and Aikman's due to playing in a pass happy era where the rules have been designed to perfect all QB's. Even average QB's have more yards, TD's, higher completion percentages and higher passer ratings than many HOF QB's from decades ago because the game has changed. All these QB's are breaking franchise passing records and have higher passer ratings than their predecessors from decades ago.

Both Staubach and Aikman could have put up huge numbers had they played in the same offensive system under the same rules that Romo has. QB's were brutalized during Staubach and Aikman's era and only Fouts, Marino and Moon put up the kinds of numbers we see today and their offensive systems played a big part. It's 4 and 5 receiver sets utilizing multiple TE's and the numerous rule changes that have opened up the passing game helping QB's like Romo and many others produce ridiculous numbers. You see that Romo has better numbers in every statistical category than Staubach and Aikman therefore in your eyes that makes him the better QB. True or False? You dodge practically every question I ask because you feel cornered but at least answer this did you grow up watching Staubach and Aikman?

I don't use stats when defending Romo. I just go by what I see watching him play. I knew he had something since his first game he ever played in preseason when he scored a TD at the end of the game with a QB sneak.

When are you going to man up and admit you are wrong about Romo and quit trying to change the discussion with thes long boring diatribes?

Wait...didn't Tony Romo go undrafted and during the guillotine period of Jerry Jones?

But the current record is mainly under Jason Garrett?

You didn't answer the question did you grow up watching Aikman and Staubach yes or no? You keep saying I was wrong about Romo what was I wrong about? I said Romo would never lead the Cowboys to a championship and so far I haven't been proven wrong. Still hoping he'll prove me wrong.

Yes I grew up watching Staubach and Aikman. Both were elite QB's. Staubach and Romo have similar games although Staubach ran a bit more. Aikman was the most accurate passer the Cowboys have ever had from short to middle yard routes. Romo has a quicker release and more pocket awareness and ability to understand all that's going on around him

At least this "record" is a little more record like than that "90 yard games to start a season." You can pull up just about any stat, and any obligatory amount of time and call it a record apparently.

If you're not using stats to defend Romo than what has you believing he's a better QB than Staubach or Aikman? If the greatness of QB's was determined solely by physical talents than Jeff George would be in the top 5 greatest QB's to ever play the game. Answer this who do you think is a better QB Romo or Tom Brady and why?

and you will have the usual suspects (Kjj and company) who will claim once again that rings are everything, stats are meaningless(only for Romo of course) that quaterbacks do it all, and any Cowboy loss is the fault of Romo.

Well Manning have a proven track record.

you really need to make up your mind. First you claim stats mean nothing since this is about Romo and no other QB that ever played, now you demand someone else use stats

Provide a post with the link where I said stats don't mean anything especially when it comes to Romo. Put up or shut up!

Its ironic when you see people constantly whining about someone pushing an agenda when said person hasnt even said anything in a thread. Its almost like theyre hypocrites.

In his last eight regular season games Tony Romo has completed a league-best 74% of his passes. In three of those games he has completed 80% or better, including last week's win against the New York Giants.
