IRVING, Texas – If the media was counting on Joseph Randle to say something juicy about facing DeMarco Murray and the Eagles, they needed to be here back in May.
That’s when Randle’s comments about Murray leaving “meat on the bone” became a national story that prompted Murray to respond with his hopes of Randle “tasting some of that meat” when they squared off in the regular season.
Well, that moment is finally here as the Cowboys and Eagles meet up in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
But Randle certainly didn’t provide any “meaty” quotes this time around, sticking to Jason Garrett’s theme of his team facing a “nameless, faceless opponent.” The Cowboys starting running back, though, did admit his excitement level for Sunday and his desire to have his best game individually.
“The excitement only builds. I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time,” Randle said Thursday. “I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. I hate to be a little selfish, but I still haven’t had a 100-yard game yet. So it’s a lot of things I have to focus on with my game and helping this team win.”

Joseph Randle. DeMarco Murray. Wonder how many fans from Oklahoma State and Oklahoma will be following the game? Mini-bragging rights for the state's best ex-college running back are on the line!

Who am I kidding? Adrian Peterson wins in a landslide. That one's for you Bleu Star. ;)

He needs 20 reps per game. McFadden needs about 10-15 reps per game. Dunbar needs about 5-10 short passes. No more turnovers and these three can get it done...

I haven't decided yet, but I think I might like McFadden as the lead back. Randle might be better in short yardage. Sucks cause I like having one guy back there.

What else is he supposed to say? He didn't give them any bulletin board material or say anything stupid.

He's excited about playing a divisional opponent. I like that he's getting up for this game, shows it means something to him.

He's going to need it. That Philly front 7 is legit.

Players have media obligations. Or do you want him to not speak and be fined 50k?

No I want him to not sound like he can't wait to show up Murray. He could just say I'm focusing on contributing to this game. I hope to help my teammates out and do well. Not this I'e been waiting a long time bs b/c it sounds like a direct challenge.

And before anyone thinks I'm in the Hatred of Randle camp, I'm not. I'm GLAD he's our first team RB. It's just challenges don't always work out well in our favor. And I deem it a challenge. My opinion.

Randle just better keep his mouth shut because he and McFadden left plenty of meat on the bone last Sunday Night. The Cowboys better clean up their run defense or Murray's going to leave a lot of empty bones if Philly decides to try and exploit them on the ground.

I would hope Randle is motivated by this game he should be. I know if I was in his shoes I would want to show the team they made the right choice not paying out 8 mill on Murray and giving me that opportunity.

So what if it is? Mother****ers stay talking **** about the boys for years, and they are just supposed to role over and bend over like a bunch of *****es in a high school bathroom?

Him talking, unless it's releasing the game plan, has no direction on which way the game goes. If the eagles or Murray need this as motivation then they are just plain trash.

Let them talk, its their mouth.

I swear the way some of you behave its as if you feel like you owe them. Just because you watch the sport and the team, and pay for gear, and possibly contribute to their paycheck means nothing.
