IRVING, Texas – If the media was counting on Joseph Randle to say something juicy about facing DeMarco Murray and the Eagles, they needed to be here back in May.
That’s when Randle’s comments about Murray leaving “meat on the bone” became a national story that prompted Murray to respond with his hopes of Randle “tasting some of that meat” when they squared off in the regular season.
Well, that moment is finally here as the Cowboys and Eagles meet up in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
But Randle certainly didn’t provide any “meaty” quotes this time around, sticking to Jason Garrett’s theme of his team facing a “nameless, faceless opponent.” The Cowboys starting running back, though, did admit his excitement level for Sunday and his desire to have his best game individually.
“The excitement only builds. I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time,” Randle said Thursday. “I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. I hate to be a little selfish, but I still haven’t had a 100-yard game yet. So it’s a lot of things I have to focus on with my game and helping this team win.”

Did you actually watch the video? Randle has been handling interviews like a CHAMP for months now. He literally gives one of 4 or 5 answers for every question. He stone walls the media with repetitive answers as well as Garrett if not more so.

You are just looking for something to complain about. Complain about his skills but not his interviews. He is on point and has been for weeks.

Yeah they've definitely coached him up. I noticed it during training camp. Very adept at controlling the interview.

Only thing Randle said was that he's been waiting for this game. Big deal. Can you blame him? Hell no. He's a competitor. I would have said the same thing if I was in his shoes!

I think he and the Cowboys are going to have a good game!

Well if he said he was waiting a long time for this eagle game, that implies he wants to outdo Murray, why else would this game be more important to him??
No matter what this is going to be about randle vs murray with the media, and it may be brought up during the game.

No I want him to not sound like he can't wait to show up Murray. He could just say I'm focusing on contributing to this game. I hope to help my teammates out and do well. Not this I'e been waiting a long time bs b/c it sounds like a direct challenge.

And before anyone thinks I'm in the Hatred of Randle camp, I'm not. I'm GLAD he's our first team RB. It's just challenges don't always work out well in our favor. And I deem it a challenge. My opinion.

It sounds like a guy who's been waiting for this moment for a long time. And is honest enough to admit it. In no way does it sound like a challenge to Murray. And fans need to understand. Bulletin board material in the NFL is one of the most overhyped fan concerns in the sport.Once the hitting starts these guys are a lot more concerned with the guy lined up in front of them and their own assigments. Then they are about a comment made by an opponent. Especially one as innocuous as what Randle said.

Randle just better keep his mouth shut because he and McFadden left plenty of meat on the bone last Sunday Night. The Cowboys better clean up their run defense or Murray's going to leave a lot of empty bones if Philly decides to try and exploit them on the ground.

They outperformed Murray tenfold.

He only carried the ball 8 times everyone might want to wait until after Sundays game before getting too cocky.

Murray only got 8 carries if that's how Philly is going to use him they wasted a lot of money signing him. Our backs got more opportunity as in 22 carries and only averaged 3.5 a carry.

Joseph Randle. DeMarco Murray. Wonder how many fans from Oklahoma State and Oklahoma will be following the game? Mini-bragging rights for the state's best ex-college running back are on the line!

Who am I kidding? Adrian Peterson wins in a landslide. That one's for you Bleu Star. ;)

Uhhhh ever heard of some guys named Barry Sanders or Thurman Thomas for Oklahoma St??

Or Adrian Peterson for OU?

3.7, but I could see why you'd want to ***** the numbers since Murray averaged 1.1.

Maybe you should train really hard, get signed by the Cowboys and become their starting running back and show everyone what you're supposed to say to the media.

It makes no difference the Cowboys weren't having much success running the football which forced them to try and gain yards with the backs via the passing game. Murray lost around 12 yards on a botched play so his stats were a little misleading. He'll average a lot more than 1.1 vs the Cowboys on Sunday.

Which is irrelevant to the fact that you fudged the numbers to make your case look better. 3.7 is still more than 3.5, and in this context much more than 1.1.

I don't think she weighs more than 100 lbs, so I'm fairly certain no amount of training is going to turn her into the Cowboys starting RB.
