Though the Dallas Cowboys have yet to rule quarterback Tony Romo out for the rest of the season, they surely have to spend several weeks – if not months – without their star quarterback after he suffered a broken left collarbone Sunday.

The immediate solution is backup Brandon Weeden, but now the question is, can the Cowboys find anyone better? At worst, they need a reliable backup behind Weeden.

Here’s a look at some other options the Cowboys might want to consider, both by scouring the free agent market or seeing who might be available via trade:

There are no QBs who can replace Romo. They can only hope to not be a complete and utter failure in the shadow of his greatness.

I wouldn't mind Flynn backing up Weeden. Flynn has shown that he can play if he's surrounded with talent.

Ponder or Flynn as our 3rd would be good... I like Moore more than any of them

Ponder knows Garrett's system (played under Norv in Minny) while Flynn does not, but would rather have Tebow over both. Just run the ball, that is one thing that Tebow does extraordinarily well.

I would take Favre over any guy I've heard anybody bring up so far. Not kidding!
