Vince Mayle promoted from PS

Except Street and Terrance can't win on contested balls because they cannot catch and it looks like this guy can't either. Really this move doesn't make awhole lot of sense if he's just another Street. We need pass CATCHERS.

I think they are just biding time before taking another WR early in the draft. They are willing to see if this kid and others can play until bringing in a blue chip prospect.

This proves to me that guys like Bryan Broaddus have no inside scoop about what's going on with this team. All week he's been talking about he's hearing through the walls that Lavar Edwards is the guy they're bringing up.

I thought it was strange that we would go with a de when we were short at receiver. I hope Mayle is good enough that he can replace street when Dez gets back.

Its possible that Broaddus did hear that because its possible that they were saying it and then decided against it.

Uh maybe that's what they told him before they changed their mind? You do know that happens. As far as this guy goes maybe he shows something.

Uh.. I guess Jason Garrett forgot to tell Broaddus they changed their mind about bringing up Edwards and decided to bring up Mayle instead. This guy doesn't have any inside info like people think he does. He'll find out when Garrett wants to release the info to us all.

Not sure what the attraction is for dumping Street for a player with no experience.

Or dumping him while barely having enough bodies there as is. Guess we should just run 4 TE sets all game long.

if he steps up look for cowboys to IR butler to void draft pick raiders?

Saving a late round pick is the least of the Cowboys worries right now. If he has value now they'll keep him on the 53. He was almost ready this week so he should definitely be ready after the bye.

Yes, he does not get any more information that any other reporter and maybe less than some.

Remember all the people calling for Dunbar to be cut in the off-season? People just love to find a play to hate even when they have no clue if the player is good or bad. There is just not enough information available for fans to evaluate Street. He is a 2nd year guy with a bad ankle. If not for other injures he probably wouldn't even be active until his ankle gets better but they're out of WRs so he has had to play.

Yes, it's possible that Street can't play but there really is no way for us as fans to know at this point. He did look good in the preseason before the ankle injury.

Whitehead has traits , but they'll take some time to develop . Street really has nothing he's slow , weak , about the only decent thing are his hands.

He is not weak. He's a really good run blocker. Maybe the best one of the WRs.

If this guy makes a difference I will really be surprised, as to being a mini Dez color me skeptical. Like some have noted he is as slow as Escobar and does not have his hands.
We soon need a big thread on Escobar even I have run out of excuses...

Its funny you mentioned this, because on Twitter I asked Broaddus twice if the Cowboys were going to bring up Mayle. He never tweeted back.

Maybe there are things that he is asked not to comment on ?

Or maybe there just are things he is not privy too.

Actually I would think there would be a lot of information that would only be given on a need to know basis.
