I watched this guy at WSU in person on several occasions. He's a baller. If he gets a chance he's going to be a pleasant surprise to some of you. Can't believe some of y'all totally dismiss guys before you get a chance to see them play. Some of y'all are so good I can't believe you don't have NFL scouting jobs!!!!

Tell me what you saw. What does he bring?

He looks good, but also seems to be a showoff and diva.
Sometimes guys like this look good in college due to their size, but in NFL with guys as big and fast as them they
become ordinary.

But hey put him in the game and see what he does.
dont think street has done much at all, and WR corp needs a spark, some new blood.

He is also big enough to return kicks.

That's frankly the opposite of what I see. He seemed pretty humble with his td celebrations, and appears to be a decent kid.
My problem with him is whether or not he loves football, I didn't see a physical player and the drops are worrisome.

Not sure where you got that but I didn't get that impression at all from the video I posted. He just handed the ball to the ref after a catch.

I liked what I saw in his highlight package... I'm not sure if it will be Mayle or Butler, but i think at least one of these guys will stick with the team through next season, and Romo/Dez will help make one of them a lot of money. I already like both Butler and Mayle more than Street. And I like both moves by the Cowboys, because these guys are both decent young prospects. So it's basically like we drafted two later round WR's who were able to start playing/learning 7 months early, not bad...

Street is a Grocery bagger masquerading in a Cowboys uni.

First, forget his times. He's faster than that. He put on weight to try to get bigger before the combine. That didn't turn out well. He was already big enough, and in my opinion was in the top three WR's in the Pac12. He's strong and has very good hands. Don't know why someone said he couldn't catch. He caught over 100 catches his senior year playing for Leach. I remember one game he had 15-16 catches. He's very physical and usually doesn't go down on the first hit. He beat people deep a lot. If he's not fast enough, how'd he do that in almost every game against Top NCAA talent?

Uh I don't remember him saying Garrett told him on the first place. Just say you want to hate in the guy instead of this junk and it would be better off. He gets some stuff wrong just like everybody outside of you Mr Hennig. Out of curiosity what does it matter if he got it wrong? You got money on the game and this is vital info? Its not lol

Uh.. Because he's been saying all week on his show and on Twitter that they're bringing up Edwards and not once did he mention Mayle. Broaddus is a prick and he treats fans on Twitter and that call in to the show like they're idiots that don't know football just because he was a scout.
So a guy like that needs to be called out when his know it all $$@ gets something wrong.

Not understanding this board's undying love for Lucky Whitehead. He's not a player IMO. The coaching staff values Street more than Whitehead as well.

Never been a fan of Street. Its a wasted pick. Now their giving the same treatment to Whitehead. But at least he wasn't drafted.

Everyone coming at Lucky seem to forget we cut Harris before Harris came into his own

I don't think so. Harris wasn't that great as a rookie. But he showed something worthy of a 5th rounder. Not Whitehead's fault his taking up space though. Cowboys should just put him in on KO and punt returns and don't even look back. I cringe every time Beasley catches the ball back there.

Street needs to hit the street. I wished we would have used that pick for defense.

And no he won't catch everyone by surprise just like what Dunbar did. Street doesn't have the explosiveness and the speed to take it to another level.

Street was always a project, he was worth the effort sometimes it is not possible to make that silk purse from a sow's ear.
We have a great track record for turning undeveloped talent into relevant and sometimes pro bowl material (Miles Austin,Beasley). Without Tony to deliver the ball to Street in his catch radius he is rendered fodder as he is never going to be a Dez hand catcher or route runner like Beasley. He had a place on this team when Tony was vertical, now not so much.

I agree with some of what you stated, IMO Mayle does some things well, and has good short area burst with nice balance after the catch. His route technique is solid overall, particularly the release from the line of scrimmage.
His hand technique was unrefined, to put it kindly. The two are often out of sync with each other, and he tries to trap the ball rather than let it fall between his mitts. Lets just say under the asset checklist that speed would be unchecked. He has some quickness. We are spoiled with Dez and Beasley and we are temporarily cursed in the fact we now do not have a delivery system to them.
This is not the droid\WR we have been looking for.... and during the draft IMO there were better choices. You're right I am not a scout just enjoy the evaluation of talent in my spare time starting in Sept through the draft. I hope I missed on this guy big time...

I think he's just being brought up to do some of the things Dunbar did; Catch short passes and do something with them. Physically, he looks more like a RB than a WR.

Street has shown nothing, next man up.

Street is injured right now and he's able to play the X and Z. I have no idea what he can do full time but we're signing people off other's PSs so right now he's not going anywhere.

3 catches for 36 yards and a turnover since he's been here isn't much reason not to give other guys a shot.

They liked what they saw in camp. He's hurt. I'm not certain what we should expect.

Oh I didn't know Street was hurt. Perhaps that's explains his miscalculation on the sideline. Is his brain string pulled?
