You've hit some good ones. In all honesty, I've never been to NYC so my comments are not from first hand experience, except for Peter Luger's where I've had steaks shipped from, and they were fantastic. I've also heard from a friend who is a steakhouse/expense account expert that Strip House is fantastic, so you've been to some good ones so far.

To be honest, every year there is a new list and some places on the list aren't list worthy. If you tell me why you think this particular list is worth the trouble I will accept the challenge

Because, steak.

That and I'm not able to visit them all myself. So I need someone to validate the list for me for when I do make it to NYC and have to decide which steakhouses to visit.

Del Frisco's in NYC isn't as good as the one in Dallas. (at least it hasn't been when I've been there, but I quit going after the last visit probably 4 years ago) I was pretty partial to Ruth Chris in NYC, but the last time I was there the steak wasn't up to snuff. Though it always was before then.
