...Do any of the young Cowboys strike you as the type that we are gong to see around here for 10+ years like Witten and Romo?

10 years is a very long career. But, I am certain Dez gets there. Tyron, too. And, while it is too early to predict Byron Jones, he seems promising. Zack Martin and or Travis Frederick have a chance, too. But, Witten and Romo are likely going to be remembered for a long, long time for the runs they have going here.

The real question is...how much winning takes place over that 10 year period? Name me another franchise that lets players "hang around" this long that do not win? And at this point...I am not even talking Super Bowl. I would take a conference title appearance. The ONLY....ONLY position where you hang onto a guy that does not have playoff success....is QB. Because at some point...if you are NOT part of the solution....you are part of the problem. Like it or not...those are the rules. Only an incompetent GM whose priority first and foremost is making money...hangs on to players that do not win. Loved Ware..but his time was up. Love Witten....but name me another player in the NFL...that has played this many snaps with one team....that is still with the team and getting 90% of the snaps...without winning to justify his spot. Does not mean Witten is not a great player. It just speaks to the CULTURE in Dallas. Again, not blaming Witten for the fact we do not win...but if WINNING was the only thing that mattered...he would not still be in Dallas. And it makes it even more baffling that we have spent 3...3.....2nd round picks and backup TEs, during his tenure. I mean, that is just baffling to me! But when you truly understand the CULTURE in Dallas...it makes it easier to comprehend! The Cowboys are an Entertainment outfit FIRST...and it's made up of a football team....an 8th wonder of the world stadium, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, a living legend (in his own mind) Jerry Jones, the "Americas Team" moniker, etc.....

Name another player in the NFL who gets that kind of tenure with little to no playoff success. And no he is not the problem. But when you don't win, teams will keep churning until they do. So I'm speaking to a culture, like no other in the NFL...and I used Witten as an example.

Let's hear it for the updated smurf...Beasley. I just don't see him a vital piece as he is projected right now. He is a good to great #3 or #4 piece to a receiving group.

OL would be a problem ( for all of them staying 10 years). I dont think that we can pay next contract for all Travis Frederick, Zack Martin, La'el Collins. Too much SC invested into OL.
