"He has a lot of poise," Jones said. "He really knows the offense, not to say that Cassel didn't, but he has been in it more than Cassel has. He does have a better understanding. It's obvious that he has the instincts, very good instincts."

So we had a kid sitting on the bench with more familiarity and better understanding of the offensive system and we still decided to trot out Cassell all these weeks? Why?

JG is just trolling now. Here is my guess as to the conversation within the walls of Valley Ranch

JG: " I like the way Moore faught. He's a battle fighter who gives 110% but process wise he's only been learning 5 years. "

JJ: "Um we are, and we were losing a lot and your read hair makes you strong and fiery but play Moore."

JG: "Matt's not an answer but after being benched I know he's a pros pro who will fight and be like the kid who just can't open the piñata but on his 50th strike it finally opens and we are rewarded with all its candy, a win."

Because the coaching staff sucks?

Remember, this is the same organization that kept WeDone here for two years and didn't know he could be a viable backup until push came to shove. The same thing applies to Moore except from the opposite viewpoint.

I saw the thread title and immediately thought (from Garrett) "I am not ready to name Moore the starting QB, because Jerry isn't up yet...he needs to take his two Tylenol, have his eggs, and then his first drink (hair of the dog and all), and THEN I will be ready to name someone the starter."

I'd rather lose with Moore, to see what he really has. I for one was impressed with the way the O responded to him, including the energy demonstrated in the break with the simple gesture of hand clapping in unison.

I did notice that, the loud, in unison hand clap. I bet Garrett had them stay late to practice that part. They do have it down.

Obviously, they thought Cassel gave them a better chance to win.
