Bill Cosby is charged with sexually assaulting a woman

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Bill Cosby was charged Wednesday with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home 12 years ago — the first criminal charges brought against the comedian out of the torrent of allegations that destroyed his good-guy image as America's Dad.

The case sets the stage for perhaps the biggest Hollywood celebrity trial of the mobile-all-the-time era and could send the 78-year-old Cosby to prison in the twilight of his life and barrier-breaking career.

Sad fall from grace for a cultural icon but he deserves all the scorn and punishment he receives if guilty.

It's not really sad. Pathetic is better word.

It's pathetic that he did it. Numerous times.
It's pathetic that it is only coming to this now.

Gloria Allred has been a lawyer for how long? Over three decades... Started 1976.

He should have suffered in his prime.
No big deal now. He's done.

I don't think anyone has disappointed me more than Bill Cosby, I always thought he was a true good guy.

He had me fooled for the most part.

I remember hearing he resented and held grudges against other actors/directors coming up in 60s. The who race thing.

He didn't fool me. I could tell by the way he looked at those kids on that show "Kids Say the Darndest Things". Creepy bastiage!:lmao::lmao2:

I didn't I knew a long time ago he was scum, there are a few people that I know didn't mess up once or twice but were habitual in the way they treated others poorly and he was one for many years I hated.

guilty & judged by the public until proven innocent in our system...

doesn't look good Bill.

Gotta agree with Fritsch. If it were one or two; okay, but we are talking a floodgate of women coming forward.

Either way, he still will get his day in court.

What ever happened to due proccess in this country, innocent until proven guilty. I'm not defending him but I do believe any of us deserves our day in court before having the public predetermine our fate. I'm not his judge so I'm not saying nothing bad about the man, I just know he is accused of some really despicable behavior.

Other than hersay how are these{this} going to be proven? I personally believe he is guilty but proving that in court may be a tall order.

We're not putting him on trail, the state of Pennsylvania is. We're merely stating our opinion, which is our right.

Exactly.

Hell, as bad as it sounds, if it had been a single woman? Or possibly two? I'd be leaning towards believing him.

50 though?
5-0?
Fifty?
F-I-F-T-Y?

Good gracious. That's not to say he couldn't still be innocent, but any benefit of the doubt went right out the window. We'll see what comes out during the trial though.

True.
But...

Exactly.

... There are many that are complicit in this.

Again, tough to prove and make it stick.
