I wonder if they'll get a look at Brandon Allen. That dude really turned it on as the year went on, and against quality competition too. Personally my pet cat coming out this year despite some of the stigma attached.

So after Wentz looks horrible in the game running Jason's offense, He should easily be available in the second round now. Genius move when you think about it. Give him the Matt Cassel playbook.

I know this is just a joke - but it just might turn out that way for real - lol.

This site? The NFL is ridiculous with QBs.

Nobody ever thought Weeden was a first round choice. Nobody. But yet, there he went.

Never underestimate how much this league is starved for QBs. We just happen to be one of them right now too.

Better to get started now than be one of the desperate in a year or two.

Here's the thing. The Cowboys front office isn't starved for a qb. They have the qb they want. Stephen and Jerry have both expressed that. They have said they need something better behind him. But put ursf in Jerrys shoes. Who do you think he would choose an available Manziel or a rookie? Put aside all the biased views you might have and think with Jerrys frame of mind and what he's said about Manziel. And give an honest unbiased answer. Remove yourself from the thought

Moore had the same playbook and threw for 450yrds in Dallas last game

I would not be surprised that if he shows well at the senior bowl, he is the pick at #4. Mock drafts are one thing, but true scouts have always had this guy in the first round.

Especially mock drafts in January.

Both jerry and Stephen are open to drafting a QB,anybody who doesnt believe that should use google.com and check out some of their comments.now i would like to see them draft our next franchise QB now when they have a top 5 pick rather than use a low pick on a QB who is not talented and wont be anymore than a backup .

Lol I'm telling you. He could be the Cowboys pick in RD2 I doubt he goes into RD1. This site is ridiculous with qbs right now

I disagree. This is reminding me of that year where Ponder and Locker and all those guys just jumped up in the draft. I'd take my chances with Wentz falling to the 2nd round. If he didn't I wouldn't lose too much sleep especially if I can get a impact defensive player at #4.

I think there was a time where Jerry liked Manziel but I think if he truly loved him like some suggest he would be a Cowboy and Zach Martin wouldn't be. I just can't see Jerry letting ANYONE override him on a decision that he felt so strongly about.

But what I could see is them viewing Manziel as a qb of the future that way they can spend the rest of their draft picks on other key positions.

I agree. If he's the guy, take him. The beauty of our position is that we don't have to rush him into battle. Just let him sit and learn the game.

I think a lot of top quarterbacks have been ruined because they had to start immediately. Unless you have elite talent and a strong team surrounding you, starting early isn't advisable.

If we do pick Wentz, he's starting by his third year. You don't draft a quarterback in the top of the draft and sit him for three full years. If Wentz is picked, Romo has two good years left before we hand over the reins.

So Tony has a two-year window to win the Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys.

I agree................if we take Wentz at 4, you tell Romo he has two seasons and then the rook takes over.

What I'm afraid of is that if they do really like Wentz, they'll try and get cute and trade down a bit and some team will grab Wentz ( along with Goff & Lynch being gone ) and we'll lose our chance to grab our future QB.

I'll be very nervous this upcoming draft is all I know.

Yea, that would be a worse case scenario for sure...........that is why I take Wentz at 4 and don't get cute. An extra 3rd round pick is not worth losing a potential franchise QB over.

You and I are interpreting the Jones's comments about their QB in opposite poles.
I think the family saw the writing on the cracked wall. You missed the crack.

Wentz at 4? Wow

It's a long shot from this distance but there's a long way to go.
It's not unheard of for QB's are other position to start out viewed
as a second round pick and get picked much higher. We'll see.
