IRVING, Texas -- The 2016 season will be Terrell McClain's third with the Dallas Cowboys, yet he remains something of a mystery.

He missed two games in 2014 because of an ankle injury and a concussion and was a healthy scratch for a third game. He missed 14 games this past season because of a toe injury that required surgery.

“I’m still kicking,” McClain said...

If nothing else you have to admire his ability to continue earning paychecks.

In his 5 years in the NFL he has a grand total of 37 tackle and 2 sacks.... so on average 7 tackles and 0.4 sacks per season.

He is a nice runstopper in the middle when he plays, which hasn't been much in his half a decade in the league.

Archer's been awful lately. He's part of an ESPN piece on all the teams' draft needs and his Cowboys summary talks about possibly taking a QB at 4 because " they may never be in position for a top QB again".

Never ever again. Through the end of time.

Yep, always injured.

Willie Blade could have been a valuable piece for the Dallas Cowboys. Ben Bass could have been a valuable piece for the Dallas Cowboys.

Just no.

Draft or sign a 1 tech. Let him and Hayden fight it out for mop up duty.

Watching Carolina you see what a legit front can do. Enough with the Hayden's and McClains, get somebody halfway decent here

Yeah I want the qb this year, but if they choose to ignore the need, we will be picking top ten again next year.

Dump this guy , can't stay healthy for more than one game.our run blocking went down the drain when he went down after playing 1 game.

When Dallas came back from a NFL worse defense, he was a part of that group of unknowns...just the previous season.

There aren't many compliments for journeymen who gave blood and sweat for the team...

Can't build an effective defense around guys who can't remain healthy or dedicated like Claiborne and McClain, no matter how much potential they might have.

Well, he could be reasoning that we win the Super Bowl every year for the rest of time.

It could happen.

You're discounting the possibility that the franchise could be contracted.
