This is a interesting read, steve was a smart guy.
The only one who actually made big money from the usfl.

The true smarts of this move was to insist on a fully-funded annuity (regardless of the dissolution of the league). But really, that's what this is. Any player who gets a signing bonus today can convert that into an annuity and spend the rest of his life getting paid for something he did in 2016.

Steve young is an attorney whose father was a corporate attorney. He attended Brigham Young, which was founded by his great great great grandfather. In 1994, he set up an investment firm in CA. So basically he's a smartie and comes from a family of smarties well to do ers. Cerebral QBs gotta love them.

Steve Young is a brilliant man for all the reasons stated above. But he ought to be paying Jimmy Johnson an annuity too because had the Jimster not stepped down as the Cowboys coach, I'm convinced Young wouldn't have a Super Bowl ring and that monkey would still be firmly riding his back.
