Spoke to my insider yesterday

Whether it's true or not, I rather see threads like this than what Dez Bryant is eating or which player is dating/marrying.

Anyways, I hope the info is true. Wentz at 4 would be ideal.

I can also confirm this.

By simply paying attention to the normal media coverage.
casmith07 was an Officer in Afghanistan and is a member of the JAG Corp in the Army at present...he understands sources.

While I'm an Army man myself and have respect for all those who have served, I have watched an officer crap his pants in Iraq so rank alone is not the defining factor in whether or not a person has any credibility.

JAG was a pretty cool show though. Catherine Bell was fun to look at.

So you know fear on a first name basis, and understand human responses...I didn't think that you were being insulting or going 'hero' on us. Crapped? Is that all?

But you must be a bit hard of hearing...he first graduated West Point, and his father was on the Board that set up Homeland Security as a retired General. First serving in Viet Nam as a Squad Leader...but I NEVER insult another without direct knowledge of a justification. For what it's worth to you...take care, but watch your own step, also.

I would not categorize the Leadership elements of the Army as being half-assed in any respect. I hold deep respects for the Officer Corp.

Just imagine - you start talking smack to JG, his face turns red, and "the stare" comes out. After intensely gazing into your eyes for 27 seconds, he rips off his shirt like Superman, muscles rippling as he does, and claps one profound, superhuman clap, which sends you flying back into the wall 15 feet away.

Lmao. That would be embarrassing. Haha.

i think a lot of the issue is that while it's in vogue to pick on hardy for it, look around at the team. there were very few people giving their all at every play and i'd say a good 1/2 the team checked out and just 'went to work' so to speak. i know of a few players that were seriously upset not at losing so much - yes that sucked, but the lack of trying.

if we're going to demonize the lack of effort, get 'em all out there and don't pick on 1 player.

The players checked out on Garrett?
Say it ain't so

Don't get rid of the players, get rid of the idiot who can't coach

Is she still a Scientologist? What a waste.

honestly, it's replies like this that keep me from posting the few tidbits i get through the year, even when i talk directly to one of the players on the phone for a few shocked minutes. on my part. just not worth the flack you get to pass on what you hear.

I'm always open to hearing this kinda news. I grew up around a lot of pro and college athletes (mainly basketball) so speaking to them was never a real big deal for me. It always made me laugh that if I mentioned talking to Gary Payton or Stephon Marbury or Antoine Walker or Dirk, people would accuse me of lying.
As though these people are completely inaccessible because they are pros.

It never really occurred to me that a lot of people just can't relate, so they assume you're lying. I can make a long list of athletes, coaches, entertainers, that I've kicked it with and no matter how detailed my account I know I'd have people questioning or doubting my story.

Even if I tell you that my interactions with these folks never brought me personally any extra riches, fame, or anything like that. It was nearly always right place right time.

This is why I never ask for autographs and rarely pictures, because it's honestly not that big of a deal for me.

Michael Jordan would be a pretty big deal to meet, or Muhammad Ali. Those would be extremely cool opportunities. I Met Dirk twice and was awesome both times. But talking to a contractor that does work for The Cowboys really ain't that serious. Lol, and it's funnier that so many people express so much doubt in the story itself. Anyone who knows me knows that trolling the Internet just isn't my type of humor. It's not something I'd find entertaining. Anyway I know I'm doing too much explaining but I just wanted to communicate that to you guys.
Please always feel free to post any insider info you hear about. I love this stuff.

i'm much the same way when it comes to autographs. never really saw a use for 'em as they can be faked, and if not, so? you got someone to sign something? now people that *do* get into it, great! i can understand why it would be cool for them, i'm just not on the list of people who collect autographs.

i am trying to see if i can line up an interview with a player after their first year but no idea if i'll be able to. if so, it'll be cool and a handful of people on here likely know who it would be cause i do tell them things privately.

here on the forums - just not worth the ******** others will put you through.

I'm a Dmac supporter and I'll be disappointed if we don't draft a rb at some point this year. Heck, Johnathan Williams will probably be there in the 4th or 5th and he will definitely add life to any backfield. And if he isn't good enough, go ahead another guy next year. My favorite is still Chubb, Emmitt 2.0.

Chubb suffered a nasty injury. Any word on his progress?

I think McFadden IS good enough, but we have to have another RB on the roster capable of being the lead back if McFadden goes down. I think Chris Ivory is a prime candidate to fill that position if he hits free agency. If McFadden goes down he can carry the ball 20 times per game at an acceptable level game after game. That eliminates the "need" to draft a RB if we resign Dunbar and fixes the position relatively cheaply. It also frees up the pick you would use on a rb to fill other positions.

I can buy that scenario as a stop-gap measure for at least this next season.

Don't worry about those who don't believe you. You know the truth. You don't have to defend yourself.

There are a few YT videos out there who fawn over Wentz and think he's the best QB in the draft since he's not only got the tools to make all the throws, but he has a quick release (like Romo), makes good reads, and anticipates well. One guy compares him to Luck but says he is smoother than him, or something like that. So I can believe that the Cowboys could be enamored with him.

But who knows?

From what I hear, Cleveland is already preparing the card for Wentz. They might even jump the shark if anyone is sniffing around
to move up over them. I suggest that we have no shot at Wentz unless we make a move to #1. That will get the keyboards burning up
around here!!!
