I really feel for the family of Manziel. As a father who lost his 24 year old daughter to suicide 15 months ago I sympathize with what they are going thru. No matter how much money you have or how much help you see they need and you want to get them, Its almost impossible to make them seek the help they need unless THEY want the help. Once your child turns 18 no doctors, insurances or anyone will listen to you or provide you with information dues to HIPPA restrictions. The problem is when someone is not in their right mind (as Manziel) they need help. Its heart breaking to see someone much less your own child spiral out of control and you cant help them because they refuse help. Prayers to the Maziel family as it brings back an all too familiar pain.

Hey, man. I'm really sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how tough that must have been.

Really sorry for your loss; no parent should ever have to go through that, but it happens all too often these days.

I hope y'all have been able to further her memory somehow, and serve as some sort of reference for others in need. Maybe your daughter will actually save other lives.

Let me know if I can help.

I think we all should be VERY afraid...that we were even THINKING about bringing him to Dallas. Forget the off field stuff....HE CANNOT PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL....Best player in College football that year and beat #1 Bama and he was still a wet behind the ears Freshman and he can't play..WHATEVER!! His head aint right but he can play...I don't care if it is the NFL..........

Exactly. This will not end well.

It looks like people from across the league, both current and former players are chiming in, and several are offering their help. I hope the kid is smart enough to take it.

I know there's a Manziel thread in the other sub, but this one directly relates to Dallas, so I figured I'd post it here.

"The Dallas Cowboys have been linked to Johnny Manziel at a number of points in the former Heisman Trophy winner's NFL career, and were rumored to be a possible landing spot for Manziel as recently as this week.

But a high-ranking Cowboys source says that Dallas is out on Manziel after the latest reports involving the quarterback and domestic violence allegations...."

Sad it took all this to realize his act wasn't a match even for our circus. He needs some serious help and the NFL needs to stay away from him until he's significantly better.

They've tried to check him into two rehab facilities this week, he's declined/left both of them. He's an adult with all the money he needs. They can't force him to do anything.

He's going to end up broke he's already shown enough poor judgment to make that call.

Driving that train, high on cocaine,
Johnny Football you better watch your speed
Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind
