To sum up the article: Dallas already uses Whitehead this way.

It's nowhere near similar to Austin. Austin is a WR/RB hybrid, Whitehead is a deep depth WR with more focus on special teams and reverses. And just watching that clip of Whitehead, what an idiot. He blew that play up by himself by cutting back inside.

We used to use the same concepts as far as showing reverse and handing it off. In fact, we actually did that quite a few times in 2015 as well. I guess what I'm saying is, this isn't anything new or anything the Cowboys haven't done or been doing. The running game is fine. It's the passing game that needs a complete overhaul.

Not even "later in the draft", he went undrafted.

Lucky had a good season and showed explosive potential as an undrafted rookie. I don't get the hate for him around here.

Not really comparing, just saying Lucky can be used in a similar way and would have similar thoughts.

This is a really great breakdown of what the Rams are doing.

I think Dallas has already planted the seeds to do this exact type of thing, though Whitehead is going to have to do a lot more with his touches before teams start to commit to him the way they did Austin.
