avoid the movie, why i say that? cause Ghostbusters is just another remake movie. and its rated TBA, you wouldnt take your kids to a rated TBA movie. also the dialogue from Ghostbusters is ....... terrible.

worry about Race and Hail Caesar, those are better movies to watch this february. as well as that ski jumping movie starring Hugh Jackman

I don't give money to Hollywood anyway. I don't go see any of them.

God I hate remakes... I'm down with prequels and sequels but remakes... most of them are just mindless.

"Planet of the Apes"
"Halloween"
"Friday the 13th"
"Texas Chainsaw"
"Evil Dead"
"Dawn of the Dead"
"Poltergeist"

Of that list Texas Chainsaw was the most entertaining.

There was a "Night of the Living Dead" remake done in 1990 that was pretty good.

I know everything leading up to the trailer talked about it being a remake but the beginning of the trailer makes it sound more like a sequel.

Michael Hollywood is running out of remakes my friend! That is why!

An all female cast is as bad as making Rhonda Rousey "Dalton" in the Roadhouse remake.

One thing the re-makers have to fight is/are the iconic characters (and the actors who played them) in the original. Take for example "Poltergeist" trying to replace Craig T Nelson and Zelda Rubinstein... well good luck with that! The "Texas Chainsaw" remake had a chance because R. Lee Ermey was in it and gave a typical over-the-top performance which was fun to watch.

Most remakes aren't 100% true remakes, the creative-heads for the remake usually deviate the story somewhat... for example in the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" they went with "fast" zombies. For some that went over big, for others it was too big a deviation from the original story. The "Halloween" remake... What a colossal pile of **** that was due to the classless "backstory" deviation from the original.

I saw the trailer and was like....that's not going to be good. No thanks. It just didn't have any pop whatsoever.

I thought the trailer looked terrible and expected the movie to do badly. But I found myself looking at the Robocop remake and wondered how badly this is terrible movie did at the box office, took in 242 million. Unbelievable.

This is a product of what happens when you have a whiny PC culture, add a director hell bent on meeting quotas and fixing a "problem" in Hollywood. The same with Star Wars thinking the NEED to add a gay character, like the sexual orientation of a freakin' Star Wars character even matters.

I bet people will then say C3PO and R2D2 are gay, that's why they're always together. lol.

Not good but I will also submit the following into evidence...

Theater trailer for the original 1984 Ghostbusters. The original looks pretty terrible and unfunny. I would never look at that and think instant classic. I will say the original trailer tells a story far better than this new one and it was, ya know, original.

I'm a fan of the people involved in this but it's looking like very expensive cosplay.

Original trailer was funny. I see why it would become an instant classic. The new trailer, I didn't laugh once.

:laugh:Tell me about it, watch them give Sam Elliotts character to some neckbeard that shows up with a vaporless cigarette listening to the Black Keys.

I love every rocky except for rocky v. Well I'll only watch the first 20 minutes of it, the rest is........boring
