DeForest Buckner, Defensive End, Oregon

With the signing of RB Alfred Morris, which kills my dream of drafting Ezekial Elliott. And the potential signing of CB Patrick Robinson, who could be solid as the 2nd CB. And with the Raiders not matching the signing of Benson Mayowa, who I think we'll put at SAM LB means we need someone to rush the passer.

I think Buckner has the better upside as opposed to DE Bosa. Buckner fits more of the style of Marinelli....in my opinion.

I believe we'll still get a RB in the draft...maybe Kenneth Dixon later. I, also, believe we will get a QB later...maybe Conner of MSU, Cardale Jones of OSU or Dak Prescott of Miss St.

But, I think Buckner is the call.

I'd rather take a flier on a guy like Tapper in the 3rd round, then Buckner. I had a brief moment a week ago where he intrigued me, but some smart people around here slapped some sense into me.

With the 4th pick, the Dallas Cowboys take the best trade they can find. I doubt they want to take left DE prospects at 4.

If they stay at 4 though, I can see Buckner getting the nod over Bosa.

I, too, think they are throwing up a smokescreen. But, think about it, they haven't addressed the DE. They are looking at QB for later rounds. It reminds me of the year both D. Ware and Shawn Merriman were in the draft. Merriman was a beast, but Ware had more upside.

Yeah, I remember that draft. I honestly have no idea where they're going with this pick. Most of us don't I'm sure. They seem to be all over the place. Maybe they pick up Jack or maybe even trade the pick.

With the offseason signings, I could see Dallas going BPA in this draft as well.

Buckner would be the worst of players the Cowboys could select at #4... He's not going to provide much in the way of pass rush.

I think it comes down to Bosa vs. Goff...

And if they take the QB, the best pass rusher left when their pick comes up in round 2.

Rather trade down now, pick up another 2nd and get the best available on defense with the first 2-3 picks.
