At least baseball is here. It ain't football, but it's better than nothing..

I'd say it's closer to nothing. Sorry, I'd rather watch paint dry than baseball. Ranks right up there with watching golf.....

Anything on jason jones? Theyre getting to a spot where they can dress a roster of nfl players...even if some spots arent great. If nothing else its getting easier to just take bpa rather than having a temptation to fill a need.

Get a feeling that re-signing Crawford might be in response to not getting Jones. Possibly thought we could upgrade Crawford for a similar price, but it didn't work out that way.

Fish was on the radio last week saying they had a great visit with Jason Jones and may sign him with the dollars that could have went to Crawford and he was willing to possibly sign for less than Crawford.

Nothing happened there as of today.

Also said Mayowa money took some of the Crawford cash and Crawford was at Pitt looking for a better deal in free agency.

Fish claims he talked to Crawford and the indication is the Cowboys were not offering much so he wanted to look around.

Not sure if signing one excludes signing the other at this point.

I guess Crawford was not getting any great offers as he desired and one needs a subscription to get better information from Fish!

If Crawford signs that starts to form nice rotation of DE's.

Right side: Lawrence, Mayowa & Gregory
Left side: Lawrence, Crawford & Thorton

If Dallas adds either Bosa, Spence, Lawson, Buckner then you start to get excited about their potential.

I like that DLaw can play both sides. It does give us a little more flexibility going into the draft.

Fleixble because of JCrawford? Don't know about that. We still need a lot of help.

We need a lot of help in a lot of places, though. Having they rotational spots filled on the DL, at least, means we don't have to fill specific holes there in order to field a team.

We could legitimately add players at any level of the defense still, and multiple players on the front and back ends. But signing J Crawford at least lets us flirt with moving T Crawford back outside in a pinch. Jack Crawford plays well in that 3 tech rotation, and we've got other players we can rotate inside, too. He's a better player overall than people think, but it's his flexibility that I like the most for us in this case.

Updating this to include ages so we all can understand whats going on. This is young DL.

Problem with it is, though, that there are really only two 'premium' players in the rotation, and one of those is a slip up away from taking a nice long break.

I like the DE as far as young developing talent goes. We're still missing impact players, unless Lawrence or Irving (who I think they plan to play a lot more outside) or maybe Mayowa really step up somehow.
