Gee thats a shock. If the offense performs well and they go 8-8, the politician can blame it on Rod. Stevie Wonder saw that one comin.

ofcourse they are ,they are looking out for their jobs and not the long time health of this team.

Brugler mentioned early this morning on CBS Sports radio that Garrett and Linehan are "making a push" for Elliot.

wow. I can't imagine a trade for UP Zeke--would seem almost absurd to me--but have to admit it'd even surprise me if Dallas took him at 4.
Would not complain though. he'd be awesome behind this line and with Romo under center.

Not going to worry about rumors at this stage of the game. Though Broaddus sort of hinted at something similar today.

There's been as many rumors about Elliott for us as Goff for the Rams. Probably more honestly. Starting to see a whole lot of smoke here. Much more than I like to see.

If Eagles move up and take Wentz at #2 then I wonder if there is another threat to take EE prior to Giants. Obviously it would be sweeter to trade back some and still get EE while adding a 2nd or 3rd.

How about the team "make a push" for both of those clowns out the door?

"Yeah, if only we had a Top 4 pick running back Jerry, then we might have actually been able to coach some wins out of this team, yeah, that it!"

"Oh, and we're gonna need another receiver, and possibly another tight end, and a lineman, definitely another lineman, if we can somehow trade back into round 1 and get Tunsil too, we can really get a good offense going for you Mr. Jones!"

Why would they? Rumors are SD is getting as many calls as the Browns are for Tunsil. We're going to end up stuck at 4 or taking a huge hit on value.

I could see Elliott if tunsil is there and we could trade back a few spots. Don't think Elliott, as much as I like him, is that much better than a guy you can get in the second. Especially when you consider you get the other player too. Just don't think taking Elliott at 4 is smart and I like him. Add another pick and get Elliott I could see. Elliott at 4 I don't do that pick myself

Totally reasonable.

So Bosa would be better? Doubt he'd impact wins more than Zeke

With no QB, none of them will. Just like the 3 first round talents they added last year didn't make a damn bit of difference either.

But this running back Overkill nonsense is asinine.

"Won't pay one in free agency, but we'll pay one even more, and give up the #4 overall pick to do it!"

Any moron stupid enough to do that deserves the failure they'll get.

Uh oh, divided opinion in the braintrust with Jerry as the deciding vote.

Scout's want Ramsey, coaches want Elliot and Jerry breaks the tie by...trading our first rounder to Cleveland for Johnny Manziel.

**** I hate ties
