He certainly hasn't shown it thus far. The excuse last year was the shoulder injury, and I'm fine with giving him that mulligan for last year. But since camp has started, it's been one thing after another making him unavailable. If it lasts into the regular season, that extension will look more and more like a colossal and costly mistake.
Well, it definitely was WAY pre-mature. They gave him that extension based on potential, not production.

Nobody a little worried about this?

I worry any time a physical player like Dez has a concussion.

Why? Every player is going to have one at some point. The only reason this is even reported is the new protocol.

Not every player gets a concussion.

And the reason why it's a big deal is studies show once you get a concussion, your chances of a 2nd or 3rd go up. In today's NFL with the CTE links and the protocols in place, a player like Dez getting a concussion is a concern. A fairly large concern.

And they paid him to be this defense's Warren Sapp. The anchor piece of the entire operation. And at this point, he can't stay on the field for a consecutive 7 days.

The return on investment for his contract extension has been disappointing to say the least. I just hope that it's a short term thing and once the games count, he'll be out there being the player he's being paid to be.

A string of concussions can end a career real quick, that is why.

If he was a finesse guy like Antonio Brown it wouldn't be as big of a deal but this is a guy that looks for contact.

Hopefully he is fine and this doesn't make him more concussion prone now that he's had one.

The other night during warmups Dez was running all around the field. I have never seen him that excited in the pregame and this is a guy who is usually out there the whole time playing catch and stuff.

I think he is going to have a monster year. He went and shook every players hand like garrett does during team stretching period!

You're saying exactly what I want to say about 30 seconds before me and more articulate as well lol.

It would be better if Bryant didn't have a concussion at all.

That's the point. With the physical way he plays, now having a concussion, that's not a good thing. Hence why people are disappointed.
You do realize this is football? Right?

Oh, I thought it was table tennis. My bad.

What are you even getting at with your post?

This isn't hard to figure out. A key player getting a concussion isn't a good thing. It just isn't. The chances of subsequent concussions go up, for one. Two, the effects of a concussion can linger for weeks and weeks depending on the person and the extent of the concussion. Dez could be fine. He may never have another concussion again. He might pass the protocol this week and be cleared by next week. But a concussion is still not a good thing.

But sure, let's pretend that a concussion is like breaking a finger nail.

I would too but I think Antonio Brown would be lucky to be a top 15 WR in Dallas. We don't really get WR's open and Pittsburgh force feeds him the ball and designs plays that get him in catch and run situations.
