News: ESPN: RB Alfred Morris runs 'like a train'; Cowboys know how hard he is to tackle

Runs like a train. 5'10 222 is stocky! He brings a load. If Morris is like a train, I wonder what Derrick Henry is. Big rbs wear you down late in the third and fourth quarters. Our boys used to hate tackling Brandon Jacobs.

Loved the signing the minute it happened. Loved it so much thought it was pointless to even draft an RB high, and I still stand by that. From what the preseason has shown, he hasn't lost it. I've even been impressed with him in receiving.

Patient, runs hard, has great vision, cheap, and 2 of his prime years will be in Dallas.

Love love love this signing.

Couldn't agree more the signing was special. Morris is going to be a beast behind this line, as he is running with authority and a chip on his shoulder it seems.

They hated his big, fat, festering pie-hole even more..................GOD.... that dude never shut up.

Absolutely. Not ONE down side to signing this guy. We all know what he can do and how professional he is. Loved the signing the day it happened. Love it even more now.

Exactly why I would have drafted Henry even after taking Zeke.

Backs like Henry have extremely short shelf life, also chances of lower body injuries are higher since guys will go for their legs more.

He's a bowling ball. I'm still amazed that the Commanders just let him walk. The potential for rue-age is off the charts in week 2.

He has been excellent so far. I liked the signing although to be honest I really wanted to go after Matt Forte. Although looking at the contracts, we got Alfred at bare bottom $'s.

I thought the backup would get limited carries due to Zeke and the teams trouble rotating backs per previous years, but I know think Morris should get more carries, especially earlier in the year. It is a long season and we hope Zeke is here for a long time (if productive). Why not play the long game with Zeke and maybe come late November, Early December you have relatively 2 (maybe 3) healthy backs for the stretch run.

Isnt it amazing how Morris was already over the hill and on the downside of his career. He was fading away as many put it. McFadden was better ect....ect.....

Now all of a sudden after one good preseason showing he is all the rage. The guy has been a very good RB since he came into the league 4 years ago. Nothing has changed but the team around him.

Good backs like Morris are available every year in FA. There were 4 or 5 like him available this year and there will be some next year as well.

This team could NOT be in a better position with Zeke the starter and a carry the load, tough, durable back like Morris waiting behind him should something happen.

Much to the contrary there were MANY on here that had no idea what he could still do. There were VERY few that hailed the signing and many many that liked McChicken over Morris.

I would rephrase this to be "Much to the contrary there were MANY on here that have no idea." Could insert this into many a thread. Agree with your post BTW.

The thing I like about Zeke and Morris is we can get back to physical football. You still make your big plays in the air, but a physical run game will give us better matchups and more chances to make big plays in the air.

Also, it appears the trend is to get smaller playmakers at the linebacker spots in both regular lineups and in passing downs. While smaller players offer advantages in their speed and versatility. Against Dallas, they will need to deal with our big line and physical runners. I like our chances in the fourth quarter after three quarters of pounding.

Yah, I think I was referring to the "we all" portion of you original thought.
