Sure, but it's OK for the homers to tell everybody they're stupid to worry, right?

Heck of a double standard you've got going there.

Didn't say that, haven't said that, wouldn't say that. I'll take optimism over pessimism any day of the week though. That aside, I don't care what anyone else has said at this point. If you get some satisfaction out of this news you're an idiot.

Good luck Dak.

6-8 weeks is the rumor going around.

with Back injury, he isn't playing all this year and my bet on never again.... as much as I wished he would get his shot at a superbowl as he deserves it, this will do him in

p.s. I know he has had couple back injuries before and came back but he is 36 years old now and I think the mental anguish will get the best of him if the physical doesn't.

I'll await the official report regarding time he'll be out. If Garrett wasn't ready to rule him out for week one, then that means Dr hasn't given any 6-8 weeks, just speculation. I think it will depend on location, pain management, and future danger. Guys play with cracked ribs, so I still think he could be gone all season or play week one. That said, if OL controls NY DEs, I think Dak could have a huge game vs the Giants.

Sad! This will be/already is a pattern. You hold your breath with every hit. Honestly it may be time to just go with the future and see what happens! I'm also no sure how you evaluate coaching when this keeps happening. Thought this was make or break for JG

Not surprised at all. The awkward position he was in going down, the look on his face on the sideline later, the "nothing serious" statement afterwards, and the back injury history all pointed to this being the end result. If you didn't think Romo was fragile after the injuries he's had the last few years you weren't paying attention. I'm heartsick about it but I don't see how anyone could think he can come back and be reliable.

Have they specified what type of fracture? He had a transverse process fracture a couple years ago that only kept him out a couple of weeks.
Does it really matter? His body can no longer handle the rigors of the NFL. That should br clear to everyone by now.

Its time for him to shut it down, enjoy your kids growing up and work on your golf game.

Romo is Danny White to me, he's just never going to win the Super Bowl, I'm ready to move on.
