If Dak's got you there, why make the change at all? For another 3 plays of Romo before he gets hurt again?
That is true but I think Tony will still be back when he's ready. It's just what the organization will do.

For what its worth I had a compression fracture in my back and went back to work on a fire engine 1 month later.

What type of break and where exactly would be my next question. My job may be physical at times but obviously Im not getting drilled by 300lb d lineman.

Sadly I think he needs to walk away from the game. Knowing Tony he will try to wrap it up and be ready week 1. Part of me would rather not have Romo back mid season. If Dak is doing well, keep him going because hes the future. If hes struggling and we are out of it then theres no point anyhow.

Sorry i didnt see 6-10 week time line. This sux.

Dak is not leading us to a super bowl guys. Not during his rookie season with a shaky defense. It's wishful thinking.

Romo is Danny White to me, he's just never going to win the Super Bowl, I'm ready to move on.

I also see romo in this way. I have a feeling he will play by the third game and then will get hurt again. he needs to quit and enjoy his family and get a tv job.

I knew it the second it happened, such an awkward hit, good thing our staff held him out from returning in the game.

@ first I thought he might have torn up a knee...that was such an awful slide. He looked like a player that was washed up during that pathetic slide.

Regardless...we are back into looking for a QB.

If it's a 6 week recovery he'll be back after 4 weeks of the season, if it's 8 he'll be back after 6. Sucks, but we can still win the division. We just have to win some damned games with a backup for a change. Prescott is going to be the man opening night from the looks of it.
you have got to be kidding? you do realize Tony's age and previous injury history right?

Christ, Tony is as unlucky as you can be. Just on the back alone, he's had a cyst, a herniated disc, broken transverse and now this... and none of them are related to each other at all.

He won't miss anytime IMO... He tried to get back in the game the other night.

Season is Half a month away.
Maybe. But so what? Hes so fragile now that any play could be his last.

I have zero confidence he can last half a game, let alone 16 full games.

Find another backup QB from the waiver wire, and roll with Dak. Draft another QB next year.

I think he'll try to get back as fast as he can just like last year. And then he got knocked out again 2 weeks later.

Onus is all on the coaching staff now.

We have the running game and offensive line to still move the ball quite well, regardless of who is at QB. No more Romo to bail Garrett/Linehan out now. The coaching staff needs to sack up and really call a game that puts Prescott in the best position to succeed and make the least mistakes.
