By appealing to fans of "America's team," Ford (NYSE: F) is hoping to add to its appeal in the country's largest market for pickup trucks.

The automaker is teaming up with the Dallas Cowboys on a limited-edition F-150, on sale now at select Ford dealerships in Texas. The starting price is $41,925.

"Our Cowboys fans are among the most passionate in all of sports. We are proud to partner with Ford and Texas Ford dealers to bring this Cowboys edition F-150 to our incredible fans," said Jerry Jones, owner, president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys.

Ford is selling 400 of the limited-edition F-150 pickups painted in the same shade of silver used on the team's helmets. The trucks will feature the Cowboys' star logo on the doors and tailgate, a molded heavy-duty cargo bed mat, and the floor mats.

That's it? You can make any car a Cowboys edition yourself.

Just buy the cheaper version that doesn't have the star logo on it and then pay $10 for all the star logos and put them on yourself. Probably save yourself hundreds of not a thousand or more dollars.

seems to be a special paint color here as well...

2 tons or 2000 lbs? 150 horses doesn't seem like enough for that kinda weight.
Runny, Ford's fact sheet claims a payload of 1.68 metric tons. That would be about 3700 lbs. Driving trucks you would have a better feel for it than me. The farmers up here really load them down also..l have seen old trucks with well more than2 tonnes on them!!

Are you talking cargo weight or towing capacity?
