Shaking up the D line & Changes at LB

dont like Crawford at DE. Weve seen that and its not pretty.
Well, neither is what we have at DT. Teams are running right at him. I don't get where people think he is a plus player at the very vital 3T position.

The injury excuse from last year is gone and through a couple of games, he seems like he can be more productive when he does not face as many double teams. He is just not nearly as talented as everyone thought.

I know we like the 3T to be "nimble" but how about a thorton/mcclain DT combo until D-Law gets back, that should allow for the run defense to be a little stouter and may help pass rush with two guys that can eat up a double team or two.

I like what he is doing, T.Crawford # 285 and J.Crawford # 288 give us pretty big guys on the edge, with the little guys coming in to spell them. Who's the backup behind Collins ? Irving ? At # 273 he's gonna have the same problem that Crawford has - too light in the britches.
This should be a good run stuffing line up, well the best we can hope for at least until Lawrence gets back.
All of a sudden with Davis and Lawrence here soon, we have the "Waves " that Marinelli wants at DE, but now we look thin at DT ! Still, I look forward to seeing how this all plays out on Sunday ...

Collins is bigger than both of them, if you want stout, the biggest line up we have would be - Crawford, McClain, Collins, Crawford. I think as the season goes on and Players wear down a bit, I'm hoping our line up will be T.Crawford, Thornton (Who's a bit bigger than McClain), Collins, and Lawrence.

I would assume Thornton becomes the main back up at both DT spots.

Funnily enough it you view it on your phone and click "reader mode", it frees the article right up.

After you've read a certain number of articles per month the newspaper "blocks" your access.

Simply go "Incognito" mode as a work around.

Nick eatman made the point yesterday that this team could play the 34 right now maybe better than the 43 marinelli runs.

I wish we would go back to it next year, especially if gregory is healthy and into it.

I know it will never happen though.

Funny you say that. I looked at our squad and thought the same thing. That's pathetic honestly it's like we have made no progress from the switch 3 years ago

He was actually getting a lot of push in 14. He drove people into the backfield every week. Now whenever I notice him I feel like he's trying out for Dancing with the Stars.

Well, glad to see some change ups instead of just sticking with status quo.

Can't possibly be any worse than it has been for the 1st 2 games.
Looks like We're in "try anything" mode.

mayowa has been atrocious.

He'll be better as a situational pass rusher. That is what we signed him for. I expect he'll be on the field in passing situations with Lawrence as the ends. The Crawfords (or one Crawford and Irving) at DT.

in two weeks Davis and lawrence could be the starting ends with crawford, crawford and mayowa as the situational pass rushers.
