They didn't use any draft picks and relatively little cap space on Mayo. It's well worth the chance. It's not in the same ballpark as risking a 2nd round pick on Gregory or JSmith. The investment in Mayo is so low it's not really worth discussing.

So you honestly think that teams look at dollars invested to guage?

So you only have ninety dollars and invest thirty on your one shot player, it means zero?

Sorry, you can't tell me for a second that they feel they are getting good RTI so far on Mayowa. You usually don't demote those players.
