Thornton is a guy I never thought I'd be disappointed in

But Thornton really hasn't shown up at all IMO. I haven't watched the tape like some of you have so maybe I am off here, but it just doesn't look like he's doing much out there. You see McClain and Collins during the game a lot making some plays, but Thornton? I never see him do much of anything.

I really thought DT would be a strength and he'd be a more than solid player for us. I thought it was a very smart signing by the FO. But maybe he just benefitted from playing on the same DL as Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan.

I also was expecting more, especially based on the analysis of him that basically said he was extremely active for a guy his size and a better-than-good run defender.

His former team let him walk, that should be the first consideration. Just how many of these FA's have really worked out well for us? The last one I can recall was Glover living up to the price we paid.

Not going to fix a gourmet meal shopping in the economy aisle. We need A or no worse, B, players and we get C's, if that high.

To be fair they let him walk because they moved to a 4-3 and already had a nose tackle. Thornton has been horrible

It has been disappointing to see how much he's not really involved in these games right now. It's encouraging to see McClain playing well and Collins starting to emerge, but I would like to see Thornton start to play better.

Well done lad!

Thornton just reflects the average (or worse) play of our D.

Our front four is really disappointing. I think our secondary is above average. I would like is a lot more if we found a true centerfield safety to play the Wilcox role. That would make it a good to very good group in my opinion. Although see we have very little pressure players up front really limits you. Marinelli wants a defense that can get pressure rushing four. That is not happening with this group. We will need two pressure players next offseason...at least.

The depressing thing is between he and Mawoya, is I could see the FO saying, see what happens when you go get FA's?!? I hope not, but could see it.

I'm ready for a new regime myself with a whole new way of thinking. The old regime is getting stale IMO.

He just doesn't get off blocks. I noticed him in a negative way when Chicago was breaking off some of their better runs.

A fair and balanced assessment. McClain and Collins have exceeded expectations while Thornton and Tyrone Crawford have disappointed.

I never expected anything from Thorton or Benson M.
95% of Eagles fans didn't even know this guy was on their team.

This is bargain bin free agents.

Crawford continues the way he is playing he needs to be a June 1st cut

Amazing that the cheap ones are playing above expectations and the higher compensated ones are disappointing, but at least it will make the decisions easier come offseason cuts.

I had to google search Cowboys and Thornton because I had no idea who you were talking about.

I completely forgot he was on the team.

Props to Maliek Collins though.. He looks really good.
