Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is “unlikely” to play Sunday vs. the Bengals, NFL Network reported Thursday. Though the report said Bryant plans to test his injured knee in practice on Friday, the expectation is that he’ll miss at least one more game. Bryant missed last week’s win at San Francisco and has sat out…http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2416264&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

oh well this happens every yr. His knee or foot and hes out. every yr

I love me some Dez but drafting another #1 WR should figure into our plans next year. I look forward to having him back but, again, the best medicine is competition. Get someone in here to push him to consistency & even greater heights (or into the back row).

So, it's all about pain management and what he can take? No threat of further damage? Last Sunday he's jumping around before the game begging to play, but coaches and med staff shut him down? All things I read last week.

But this week he can't practice and is still unlikely to play? ***! Shoot him up and let's go!

I agree 100% with you on that!!

Give him another week, have him ready for GB.
The GB game is more important than the Bengals game, since it is a NFC team.

I agree. There are conflicting reports on whether or not he can damage the knee further. I'd rather play it safe and for sure have him for the Philly game. Would be nice to see him out there-- but would be tragic if he pushes it too hard too fast and we lose him for the season.

Wrong. Save for last year, he played all 16 games the previous 3 years and missed only one game in 2011.

Also opted to play with a broken finger, risking permanent damage which he actually did by continuing to play in the 2012 season. Because he played with the finger the rest of the season, the surgery while a success, Bryant still can't move the finger he was able to prior to the injury permanently. It also probably plays a role in a lot of his drops from time to time.

They knew damn right well he was going to miss multiple games with that injury.

When you have Brice Butler it's hard to care about it.

This whole game the Cowboys play where they talk like guys are coming back sooner than later is hilarious and it's not really fooling anyone.

What I do now is wait until Jerry gives his medical diagnosis and return schedule and then automatically add 2-4 weeks to that.

Their crap is worthless. I never believe them when it comes to an injury.
A hangnail today is a broken hand after a week of day to day crap.

Agreed. We definitely need to look at WR's in the next draft.
