I know this was discussed a few weeks ago and there were many who said Dak would go late 1st round. Does anyone still want to argue that Dak would not go #1 overall if the draft was redone today? I might even argue that Dak goes #1 and Zeke goes #2! Just typing that and it not being a joke feels incredibly good.

1. Los Angeles - Carson Wentz
2. Philadelphia - Dak Prescott
3. San Diego - Joey Bosa
4. Dallas - Zeke Elliott
5. Jacksonville - Jalen Ramsey

Reasonable but I think Dak has overtaken Wentz and would be taken ahead of him.

There is a 0% chance that Prescott would be the first pick.

The better question is where does Goff go? This is but 6 games into his career. He's just getting started.

Nope.

Wentz doesn't have anything like this offensive line, this running back, or these receivers. He would do much better here than he is in Philly.

And he's doing outstanding in Philly. Last week he had no shot with that protection.

Felt bad for him in a weird way.

Dallas really wanted Wentz, which is why Philly gave the farm to go get him. Hilarious that we got a good one anyway for 1/10th the price. LOL

I look at Goff and see Jake Plummer at best.

I'll bet you anything the Rams would like a redo at #1 overall. Goff look bad in preseason and the fact he has yet to even see the field after six games into the regular season is making him look like a huge mistake.

I'll never understand what they saw to take Goff over Wentz. That was just glaringly obvious who the far better prospect was.

The way he looked in preseason had to be pretty alarming to the Rams. Physically he doesn't even look the part, looks kind of skinny.

No. I don't think Dak goes that high even if the draft were redone.
I still think teams believe his success is a product of our offensive line and Zeke Elliott.
And, remember, the draft isn't about first-year impact. It's about four-year impact, which is usually the time it takes to determine if you have a boom or bust player.
I think Dak would go middle to lower first, maybe high second.

The dude went to Cal, and he doesn't know what direction the sun rises. How?

Of course, what Cal indoctrinates today isn't what they taught 30 years ago.

Dak wouldn't be the first pick in the draft if it were redone but he would definitely go in the first round.

I think he'd go 2nd because of the sheer need at QB in Philly.

Dallas got a 4th comp pick and turned that into their QB of the future.

Philly traded a bajillion picks, the Liberty Bell, and its soul to the devil to get to No. 2 to take a ever-so slightly better QB in Wentz.

Then Dallas took the best RB in the league for 10 years two picks later.

Joy.

you're probably right, but I think he goes a lot higher than either you or I thought he would.

He's very likely not right. There's no way of knowing what the actual percentage is, but it's pretty unlikely that 32 GMs would rank Dak over Wentz right now. I'm not sure a majority of them would, even. As for the first pick, there's no knowing if the Rams would still take a QB and if that guy would be Wentz or Dak, but there's a chance it could be either one of them, for sure. The Rams aren't taking Elliott, so the only other contenders, really, would be Bosa or Ramsey. Both Dak and Wentz make much more sense for them than either of the defenders.

This looks right to me.
