Video: Sideline footage before the 4th Down in OT

Dak and Zeke are having this impact on Garrett. He would never call a fake punt before and likely kicks a field goal instead in overtime. He just has the confidence that those two will find a way to get it done. I noticed several instances where I said to myself, they wouldn't let Romo throw in this situation. One was having 58 seconds before halftime and being on their own 6 yard line. With Romo, they run out the clock so he doesn't throw a pick or fumble and give up a cheap score before the half. With Dak, they had confidence that he wouldn't do something stupid.

Now if we could only get him to defer when we win the coin toss.
I think Broaddus said and don't quote me, because I'd have to find the tweet, but it depends on if they're playing on the road vs at home. Something to do with the crowds.

Makes perfect sense. You fall behind on the road, crowd gets into it... You are going to be fighting an uphill battle the whole way.

Saw this on Inside last night. Always amazing footage.

They go to talk about the game and BMarsh had some sort of breakdown about Zeke and Dak talk. Weird on set.

Every time we've won the toss this year, we have elected to receive, including at Green Bay. In fact, we've received the opening kickoff in 10 consecutive games.

Last year, Garrett usually deferred, but this year he has gone back to choosing to receive the opening kickoff.

And we've won way more this year. Correlation = causation. :)

he actually had it backwards and was referring to their philosophy a few years ago. He used to want the ball after the half because the stadium is quiet and a lot of fans were getting food. Which is all true.

This year they take the ball no question about it.
