If it's true, then there's no hope for him because he just had a kid too...you'd think that would focus him to set the kid up for the future, financially. He hasn't made a dollar this year, now he won't next year.
Take your own advice. Cannabis is much safer than pain pills and its a natural substance. There are many ways to get the benefits without smoking. Everyone with a brain knows smoking anything is far from harmless. Trying to ban marijuana doesn't work. We know that.
No more 2nd round gambles......take talent early and save the gambles for 5-7 rounds and cheap FAsWould still take chance if top 10 pick fell to 2nd round or bottom of first. There have been enough successes for me to try to swing for fences. Gregory may be done, but Jerry will still take chances on blue chippers who fail tests at combine or come in with off field issues, and he should.
Dan Marino, Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis, Laremy Tunsil, etc.
It doesn't matter how much extra responsibility is placed on him, some men's frontal lobe doesn't mature until after 25, so their decision-making skills and insight may be poor even beyond that.
THC isn't addictive; it simply scratches a perpetual itch for some folks with other chronic problems.
While there is an established diagnosis for overuse -- Cannabis Use Disorder (ICD-10 F12.2) -- this is usually a working Dx used until the actual underlying forces can be determined. A culprit may have several possibilities, like Avoidant or Dependent personality disorder, or one of many Anxiety disorders.
These patients or usually quite emotionally immature or withdrawn, despite their well-conceived superficial exterior.
They frequently need to be closely monitored and shepherded through a transition to proper medication until they're old enough for the light to come on.
Gregory is medicating; unfortunately, it's the wrong stuff.
He may eventually grow up and get himself together, but if this report is true, it probably won't be soon enough to salvage his playing days.
JJ would be the last one to give up on the guy, though; his paternalist optimism is one of his best qualities.
Virtually nothing is 'harmless.' Drinking too much water can be harmful, if not fatal. Long distance runners deal with it all of the time. It's easy to think they are dehydrated when they are actually overhydrated because the symptoms are very similar.
Drinking alcohol, smoking tobacco and opioids are more addictive and much more harmful while having far fewer benefits. Meanwhile marijuana has helped cure violent seizures, arthritis, relieved the symptoms of cystic fibrosis and there are arguments that it actually can *cure* some forms of cancer. And for medicinal purposes we are just at the tip of the iceberg since the government has made it difficult for anybody to conduct scientific research on the subject.
That's what the anti-marijuana crowd refuses to understand.
Thanks for proving my point.Well cry me a river. Poor baby.
I'm with you on this one. This team is becoming good and we need not gamble anymore on talent. Just take the safe great pick and move on.No more 2nd round gambles......take talent early and save the gambles for 5-7 rounds and cheap FAs
The 'cure' part hasn't been proven.....most of the relief comes from getting high...just like pain pills
I'm sure it helps nausea and glaucoma but self medicating with marijuana is extremely dangerous
Yet that is all the pro-weed folk bring up every time someone fails a testTo me, that's not what Gregory's story is about.
Weed isn't addictive, stupidity is just his condition.I was under the impression that weed was not addictive. I mean, that's what everyone says, right?
Two or is it three useless tight ends, a dope fiend, and a project (that will be gangbusters if he gets healthy); whoever makes the second round choice should be relegated to 3rd - 7th round choices. No more 2nd round gambles......take talent early and save the gambles for 5-7 rounds and cheap FAs
So he's suspended for next year now? I'm guessing they will cut him now. He truly needs help. At least we can use his roster spot and maybe sign a DE or whatever.
