ESPN: Tensions boiling over for Steelers after fourth straight loss

PITTSBURGH -- When the star quarterback calls out the team for lack of accountability and discipline three different times in the same postgame setting, each one unprompted, a usually harmonious locker room doesn't seem like such a happy place.

It was hard to leave the Heinz Field lockers without thinking something's not right with the fabric of the Steelers -- perhaps something beyond the field -- after a fourth straight loss with Sunday's setback to the Dallas Cowboys. The atmosphere was tense, which is fairly common after a loss, especially a four-game skid, but players seemed generally disgusted with a repeated pattern of costly mistakes, more so than the previous losses.

"Is it players? Is it coaches? I don't know, but we need to get there quick," quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said about how the team gets to the point of accountability.

The word "coaches" was unprompted, too, which begs the question of whether discord exists somewhere in the Steelers' facility. Roethlisberger said after his 408-yard passing performance that he based his discipline/accountability assessment off "just a feel," so the root of the problem is still unclear.........

This was a must-win for them and you could tell that they approached this contest as a "statement" game... It is a true testament to the fortitude of the Cowboys team that they battled through all kinds of adversity and took care of business against a desperate, skilled, and hungry team in a very nasty environment to play in.

The emotions for the Steelers is a sign of just how badly they wanted and needed this W. Let the tears flow

I would petition to ad Seattle to the list, they're very good, but they've got some sense of entitlement IMO.

I don't doubt it, but I'll reserve judgment on that until Dak actually has to give one after an important loss. (Not counting week 1, when nobody expected the team to win). I hope to be reserving judgment for a long, long time.
