Lol you guys are kidding yourself if you think Wentz is going to bust. What a joke.
Time will tell, but I agree Wentz will be really good in this league. I would say I worry more about Philly next year than I do the other two teams in this division.

Struggling against a Bengals defense that Dak carved up with ease. Let me repeat, there are folks here who actually wanted Wentz over Dak. Beyond dumb...
You're calling people here dumb now?

Wentz is going to be just fine. He's just playing like a young QB. Dak is an anomaly.
This. Dak has reset expectations for rookie QBs. it's easy to forget Dak is doing things no rookie has ever done, and some things few QBs at all have ever done.

I worry much more about the Commanders. Kirk Cousins is the real deal, definitely one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Right now Wentz is one of the worst. He may improve some but I doubt he'll ever reach the level of Cousins.

Why? They stink. No receivers, no corners, no every down running threat. They need 2 years of excellent drafting before anyone worries about them.

Why not? There was once a time when Cousins was considered one of the worst in the league.

Cousins is fools gold. I hope the Commanders give him a mega contract.

Pressure him and he folds like a lawn chair. Really good when in prevent though...can throw it underneath with the best of them .

Sorry...with all those weapons...he should be doing more.

If you were around in 89/90, you would be calling for the Cowboys to cut Aikman.

It's great that Wentz is not that impressive as a rookie, but very few QBs ever have been. I'm not going to assume that he won't be a good QB at some point.

Because that defense is really underrated, especially their front seven. Give Wentz a year to develope, and get him a couple of much needed receivers they could be very good. I certainly hope not, but I see them on the way up. Also should be noted that I see Washington and New Yorks stock on the way down.

What Dak is doing will never be the standard for rookie QBs. It's ridiculous to ask or expect a rookie QB to do what he is doing.

Carson Wentz is having the typical rookie season and he has no legit weapons around him besides Sproles.

Receiver wide open, easy throw. And he misses it huge. Dude has regressed to a point where they may not win another game because of him.

Wentz isn't clutch. That is something you either have or you don't, and he doesn't.
Agree to disagree. I think he deserves a year before we make that judgement. Give him some time for the game to slow down around him.

You may be right. I should temper my comment by saying Wentz has yet to demonstrate that he is clutch. In my experience you either are or you aren't, but there may be exceptions that I'm not aware of. The undeniably bad sign for Wentz is how much he has regressed since the first 3 games. Why did he start playing so poorly and can he turn it around?

I think that's a fair statement.

Not a fan of Wentz, but you're saying Aikman was "clutch" after he put the Cowboys on his back going 0-11as a rookie in 1989?
