My Response to ESPN posts second-worst 'Monday Night Football' season

I think its the increase of commercials is finally getting to people. Sometimes its like watching an infomercial with breaks for football. It hard to get into the flow because of the constant breaks.
I remember 1 game was-

play-time out
commercial
play-2 minute warning
commercial
play- review
commercial
play-fg
commercial
kick-off
commercial
play-injury
commercial

said f this, halftime will just be commercials, and went out

people are cutting the cord in record numbers, there are plenty of legal ways to watch ESPN without cable and about the same amount of illegal ways to watch it as well.

The NFL needs to address this issue. Offer a la carte streaming packages, Move Monday night football back to ABC , and put better match-ups on Monday night football.

If there's anything ruining televised football, it's commercials.

It's insessent and annoying.

There's almost no flow to the game which is the main reason why I can't watch basketball.

The games of the past had very little stoppage during a drive and you could feel the momentum. Now they have increased the game by 1/2 hour to 3.5 hours (late games use to start at 4-now its 4:30) and flood us with 30 more minutes of commercials and are compounding it by putting to many in during momentum killing or just bad times (after kickoff).
People are responding by losing interest (who wants to watch a game that keeps killing any momentum). Advertisers dont care and want even more. NFL though should notice the decrease in viewership and hopefully with act. If they dont the downward spiral will continue

Digital antenna for network shows, local news and sports. Internet for everything else. Realized 3 years ago that I was paying $150 + for content that was, with the exeception of 3 or 4 cable shows, available free over the air.

With subscriptions to Netflix and Amazon Prime (bonus - became a member just for the free 2 day shipping), there's not too much I'm missing. Bought a PS4 so my daughter has an incentive to finish her homework - now we both use it to watch shows and videos, rather than play games.

Sure, it has it's drawbacks - waiting a year for new Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. But I got over it. Seems normal now.

If ESPN wants to survive, they need to offer a stream, even if limited. Otherwise, they'll circle the drain along with the cable and satellite providers.

How do you all get internet? My only internet option is Xfinity, and the TV part is only $10 more than I would have to pay for internet only and includes HBO, so I've never cut the cord.
 
I bet we're on nights at least eight games next year.
If I was still on the west coast I'd be loving it but here on the East Coast I hate it
Tired of getting raped by DirecTV just to have the football package
 
I don't have cable, so therefore no ESPN...I do have an antenna and watch whatever game may be on...if Dallas isn't playing on my TV, I head to Buffalo Wild Wings or watch on NFL Mobile...MNF ratings would be higher if the game was on one of the 3 major networks...or even Fox...

That red carpet intro sucks. It absolutely sucks! Whatever moron thought of that thing needs a pink slip.

Monday Night Football used to do a great job of buildup, no matter the game they had. From the helmets crashing down from above onto the field, to Frank Gifford's awesome overview of each team, the games felt big.

Now, not only do the matchups disappoint, but the show itself does little to nothing to build up what they do have.

I don't know what the rules are regarding sharing streaming sites on this forum, but there's a particular paid service that I use for $10/month with excellent quality feeds for every game every week (no annoying ads either). PM me for more info.
