He's that expensive because he's that good and his contract is actually very team friendly. Other teams have high dollar QB contracts and manage to reach/win the SB so don't try to sell that BS to me.

Your memory is conveniently short. Romo's last meaningful minutes were in week 17 of this past season when he relieved Rayne in Philly who couldn't get a TD for us after several attempts. A healthy Romo took command and did what the rookie Rayne could not do, get us a TD.


I hope we get a chance to see that happen but in reality, Romo is the master jedi and Rayne is the understudy.

The thing to think about is 2 good qb's and both lose to GB in div round, what is the common denominator ??

Romo takes the heat for only 2 playoff wins, during past 10 years, but again what is the common denominator ??
Garrett !! He has been OC and Asst HC, then HC / OC, then HC during the whole time Romo has been here
and put up great stats.

So just because Dak is young and looks promising, there is still the common denominator !!:flagwave:

So you are projecting Rayne does better with 14 years? It is you that must be 10. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. You don't know that Rayne will ever be in the playoffs ever again. You just assume. Romo is a proven veteran.

Romo hasnt played 14 years, you start with 2006 which he started part of, and then 2010, and 2015-16 he really didnt play.
Only 7 of those years he played full seasons and then 2006 makes 8. 4 of those dallas made the playoffs.

Should have went back to Romo when we had the chance. Dak is the future, Romo should be the now.
 
Romo hasn't left any doubt that his agenda strongly emphasizes playing for another team next year. He's has made it quite clear that he wouldn't be satisfied backing up Dak. The FO has already decided to start Dak again in 2017 and beyond. Tony will either be cut or traded. I seriously doubt he's inclined to retire, at least not at this point in time. I'd really love to see him opt to become a TV commentator, although that's more than likely to be considered at a much later date.

I sure can't see Romo back. Despite the picture the media tries to paint, every shot I saw of Romo on the sidelines showed a very unhappy guy. I saw almost no interaction with Dak and very little positive emotion after TD's. It would be a poisonous situation. Don't get me wrong, I feel terrible for Tony, he played his heart out for an owner that wasted his prime years. Tony sacrificed his body and some long term effects are inevitable. But the Romo years are over and there's no avoiding that.

You must have been watching different game, I did notice during the game when tony was inactive he seemed to be with Dak on sideline not always but he was, once he became the backup it was Sanchez that was with Dak.
